Weak oppose Just the word "Geode" may confuse some new users. "Amethyst Geode" is more specific, and therefore less confusing. Although they are internally known as geodes. --Illagercaptain (talk | contribs | website) 01:17, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Strong support. The word "geode" won't confuse anyone; the word has just one meaning: a secondary geologic formation within volcanic and sedimentary rock. "Amethyst geode" is needlessly redundant if there's only one kind of geode in the game. The fact that the formation is designated "geode" internally is a strong argument for renaming the article. Absent any official alternate naming from Mojang, we have no business making up a name, and should use the known internal name that Mojang uses. Amatulic (talk) 02:33, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Oppose The structure is refered to as "amethyst geode" by official sources (such as the changelogs).  Support for a redirect given that it's also sometimes refered to as just "geode", and it's its namespace ID. Pescavelho (talk) 08:13, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Strong support. In-game names should take priority over other sources if possible. Other structures are referred to by ID.--Canarussia (talk) 15:23, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
