Stained Glass is dyed version of regular glass that can be used for decoration purposes. It functions exactly the same as normal glass, with the addition of tinting. However, any light that passes through stained glass will not be tinted due to the limitations of the current lighting system.

<samp>'''debug_fourj_item'''</samp> is an unobtainable item exclusive to the [[Legacy Console Edition]] and can only be obtained through modding the game. It has the texture of a [[barrier]], no "What's this?" hint and no display name.

==Obtaining==
The only way to obtain this item is via inventory editors and other external tools.

==Usage==
The purpose of this item is unknown, and it cannot be placed. Although the ID<ref name="r">[https://youtu.be/IscH0rUw_20 "マインクラフト WiiU 全面の木、偽バリアブロックのアイテムID公開"] - YouTube, March 26, 2019</ref> suggests that it was used for debugging and testing purposes.

13w41aStained glass is added
13w42aTextures smoothened, transparency increased, back side is no longer showing, like in regular glass.

Issues

Issues relating to "Stained Glass" are maintained on the bug tracker. Report issues there.

Trivia

  • Stained glass was inspired by a popular suggestion in the Minecraft Forums, suggesting colored glass and light.
  • Stained glass does not change the color of light passing through it. For instance, it will not tint a room its respective color when used as a window.
  • Stained glass's ID 95 was originally used by the Locked Chest.
  • Like glass, placing stained glass blocks together causes the dividing texture to become invisible. This means that if you cover up one color with another color, the covered one will be invisible.
  • Mojang tried to implement stained glass before 13w41a but each time ran into problems with transparency.
  • Blue stained glass can be used to represent ice without having to bother about it melting. (although, if available, Packed Ice would be a better solution)
