"Unlike in Survival mode, the explosion caused by a creeper in Indev mode can destroy stone and other hard materials but the harder the material, the less effective the explosion."
I find this sentence a bit confusing. Does this just apply to Indev mode then? So, what can/can't be destroyed by a Creeper's explosion in Alpha? JaffaCakeLover 12:16, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Creepers can explode all substances but obsidian, the effect of the explosion is how far into a solid layer of the substance it will break if it explodes directly next to it. The Creeper's explosion is almost identical to the TNT. ReubenHung 06:18, 9 November 2010 (CST)
If that's the case, the "Unlike in Survival mode" should be removed. I've only ever played Survival mode, but this sounds like Creepers function exactly the same in Indev. I'd make the change, but since I don't know Indev (read as: I'm not 100% certain) I won't. --DaMavster 08:31, 9 November 2010 (CST)
survival =/= alpha--Kizzycocoa 14:35, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Man.. Just when I thought I had things figured out. According to the Minepedia page on Survival, it could refer to Alpha, Indev, Infdev, etc. But, since only Alpha is supported right now, does it make sense to remove the bit about "Unlike in Survival mode" and just let it stand as "The explosion caused by a creeper can destroy stone... less effective the explosion."? It'd be clearer that way since the term 'Survival' seems to be ambiguous. --DaMavster 14:48, 9 November 2010 (CST)
He has a point. adding information about indev, infdev and survival is confusing to many. I think minepedia should focus on modes that notch intends regular users to play, namely alpha and classic (currently). The others are discontinued test modes anyway, so whats the point? --BlueLegion 15:11, 9 November 2010 (CST)
history recording. basically, they can't destroy stone in survival TEST. so, it needs clarification.--Kizzycocoa 21:15, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Maybe it would be best to add a "History" section to each article for the info on past things? --Fishrock123 16:14, 9 November 2010 (CST)

To answer this (THE ORIGINAL) question, please refer to this. TNT#Explosion_Resistance Keep in mind that it is "Temporary health" which (from what I read) refills after the explosion. On another note, I find creepers akin to griefers. 99seconds 23:41, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Electrified Creeper

An electrified creeper, as seen by Rzanio on reddit. I think it needs a special session describing it. We'll need to research his new explosive capabilities. --Alenonimo 04:58, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

I doubt he has more power than it's non-electrified counterpart. Cool12309(T|C) 05:13, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

unusual behaviour

Superscript text i had a creeper stop moving his body but the creeper still moved along the ground and jumped is this normal 15:29, 29 December 2010 (UTC)~

before the SSSSplosion

the creeper model inflates a little during the ssssound.

Music Discs

I have had a creeper drop a music disc before when it wasn't killed by a skelly. It was in a cave. I shot the creeper to death with my bow and the disc fell in the water current and burned in lava. The disc was gold.

"Neutral" creeper

Today, playing a save my friend sent to me, I happened to bump into a creeper in a mine. I was scaed by its sudeen appearance and stubbed it with my (actually my friend's) iron sword and the creeper fled me and ran behind a block. Interested of its strange behavior, I followed it up, and it just stood still behind a stone block, looking around laike zombie pigmen do. It didn't attack however close I went. I think I'm going to caapture this on film, so keep waiting for it. TheKax 15:11, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

EDIT: Nah, crap. Missed the chance to record it, since it just after about a half minute of me standing next to it, it started hissing and did the normal "blow up" -routine. Well, I'm still dumbfounded by its temporary pacifism... TheKax 15:16, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I,ve had this happen to me too. user:tygor97

Just commenting to confirm that I've seen this happen too, but also to zombies and, rarely, spiders. I've never seen this happen with skeletons. Alphap 00:16, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Me too, zombies and spiders and creepers. Probably just a bug. Or they're pretending to be friendly.JesusChrist666 00:30, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

EDIT: Skeletons too. JesusChrist666 00:49, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Creepers move to your left before exploding

As seen in this video creepers just move left (from your view when facing them) when they are about to explode just like skeletons walk to your left when starting to shoot at you. maybe it should be added to the article Djerun 23:34, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

I agree with you, I have noticed the same thing. This would be helpful information to fighting creepers, as you can bunnyhop backwards and to your right... I can't change it though, I'm very inexperienced in Minecraft Wiki... Stinkbug22-Putting STINK in STINKBUG 16:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Fan interpretation of the Creeper and another fact

Well, everyone must know it, by popular fan-art like that : http://www.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lcdtxnBT8W1qc9kq0o1_500.png&imgrefurl=http://blog.trinsec.org/&usg=__-qWtzhFPmvFGwFPm8PmLbtXeBlw=&h=500&w=500&sz=202&hl=fr&start=98&sig2=trqW1ji5Crvje73FVEAArA&zoom=1&tbnid=AuYvNKrepkYgSM:&tbnh=162&tbnw=163&ei=C7VuTf6ULIGaOu-x_eEI&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dminecraft%2Bcreeper%26hl%3Dfr%26biw%3D1916%26bih%3D848%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=137&oei=wLRuTYiSHIODswbtvfXxBw&page=3&ndsp=37&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:98&tx=86&ty=66 (sorry for the massive link, i'm a noob whit Google Images)

Some say they are griefers, due to their tendancy to blow up player's creations, or that they are habited by griefer souls (same thing)

And for the technic fact, it happened to me to strike him, run back, and then the creeper insta-exploding in my face once i try to strike again –The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dylanstrategie (Talk|Contribs) 21:24, 2 March 2011. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

cactus men?

someone changed the names to cactus men why? i will change it back i guess, but can someone tell me why it is called cactus men? (user;259tim march 25 2011)

No idea, but they probably thought they looked like cacti. Stinkbug22 22:51, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

I had a friend who was calling Creepers 'cactus boys' and 'cactus men' and he said 'It's so true, I'll add it to the internet!' I'll ask him when i get back to school if it was him. --Rocĸetor talk 12:05, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Cactus kill

I've used this technique a lot and it works very well. Plant cacti in several locations around your house so that if you go outside and there's a creeper you ran run behind the cacti. The creeper will follow you and run into the cactus until it dies. This works for all hostile things (skeletons, spiders...) and most often the dropped items aren't destroyed by the cactus. <<Pulpo 00:53, 9 April 2011 (PDT)

  • I also use a cactus wall. Be warned though that spiders can sometimes climb over it and survive. --Urian 08:32, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Why not just use an iron/diamond sword and hack it to death? It's much quicker and easier. --Rocĸetor talk 12:05, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Charged Creeper

I got hit by a charged creeper in Easy difficulty, and with full hp but no armor, it hit me with a 10 damage KO. I wasn't very close, either. It seems charged creepers will deal about double damage. --Rocĸetor talk 12:05, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Comparing creeper explosions?

Should we compare the Destruction of a regular creeper, and a charged one?--"_"oyster"_" 19:00, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

About Charged Creepers

One thing to say to all: Video of the electrified creeper dealing more damage, or it never happened. Cool12309(T|C) 22:26, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

When the lightning struck, it was close to me. Perhaps it was a mishappening of me getting hit by lightning and the creeper charging and exploding. --Rocĸetor talk 02:49, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
