Trivia

  • The design of the Chiseled Red Sandstone depicts the Wither, whereas the Chiseled Sandstone depicts a Creeper face
    • The Wither carved on Chiseled Red Sandstone only has two horizontal pieces on its tail compared to three on its mob counterpart
    • The Chiseled Red Sandstone also has an "H" and a "C" on it. It is currently unknown what they represent
    • The idea of the Wither appearing on Chiseled Red Sandstone was suggested by Reddit user ULiopleurodon.[1]
  • Jeb stated that "maybe one day" he might design a desert temple-like structure to generate in mesas, using Red Sandstone and its variants.[2]
  • A block of Smooth Red Sandstone has the number 2 on it. This is unintentional, and is similar to the 2 on Smooth Sandstone.
