Crafting Table
This article describes content that may be included in Java Edition. 
This content has appeared in Java Edition 1.20 development versions, but the full update containing it has not been released yet.
This content already exists in Bedrock Edition.

Pottery shards (or pottery sherds[upcoming: JE]) are a set of twenty items used to craft decorated pots with ornamental designs. They can only be found by brushing suspicious sand or suspicious gravel blocks. There are currently 20 known variants.

Obtaining

Brushing

Pottery sherds have a chance to be obtained by brushing suspicious sand or suspicious gravel found in trail ruins, ocean ruins, desert pyramids and desert wells with a brush. The block then gets converted into regular sand or gravel, dropping one of the twenty pottery sherd variants:

The dragon's breath can be obtained by scooping  up the [[ender dragon]]'s breath attack or the purple [[area effect cloud|effect clouds]] caused by [[dragon fireball]]s in an empty [[glass bottle]].

Dragon's breath may be added to any splash potion to upgrade it to a lingering potion, which can be used to create a lasting [[Lingering Potion#Area Effect Cloud|area effect cloud]], or to craft [[Arrow#Tipped arrows|tipped arrows]].

When put 2 or more dragon's breath in the brewing stand, after the brewing process, a glass bottle will drop as an [[Item (entity)|entity]]. However, if put only 1 dragon's breath in the brewing stand, after the brewing process, the glass bottle is consumed and cannot be retrieved.<ref>{{bug|MC-259583}}</ref>
