A pottery shard is an item used to craft decorated pots. It can be found by brushing suspicious sand or suspicious gravel blocks.

Pottery shards have a chance to be obtained by brushing suspicious sand or suspicious gravel found in trail ruins, ocean ruins, desert pyramids and desert wells with a brush. The block then gets converted into regular sand or gravel, dropping one of the twenty pottery shard variants:
