A Nether Quartz Ore is an ore only available in the Nether. When mined with any pickaxe, it drops a Nether Quartz, which can be used to make a Comparator and a Daylight Sensor.

  • Unlike other ores, it has large thick strips on it, rather than dots or small strips. This is similar to ice, but ice has thinner strips than this ore.
  • Unlike other ores, the Nether Quartz Ore is not smeltable.
  • Nether Quartz Ore is the first and currently only ore available in Nether.
  • It is found very commonly.
  • Like coal, redstone, diamond, emerald and lapis lazuli ores, Nether Quartz Ore drops experience when mined.
  • It works with fortune enchantment.
  • It works with silk touch enchantment.
