Screenshot/image

I've added a screenshot, though in retrospect a closer image may be needed in the display box thing. If anyone can add that, that would be great. --Atr 09:53, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

And during the day, or some light, or even a different block type would be a plus to be able to see it.Dctrjons 10:02, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Hey for some reason when i place a trap door it is invisible. HELP!

I am not aloud to upload files yet. But I have a good screenshot (open and close in daytime) and the 25x25 inventory render image.

Render Image - should be upload at Grid hatch

Found a handy use for these as a safer garbage disposal. Apparently the hatches aren't flammable and sit nicely on lava. Drop your items on top then hit the switch. Screenshot if someone wants to throw that in there. Fishpaw 13:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Uses Section

I (simonoz) have added a uses section featuring a trapdoor idea I have discovered :D

There a Screen shot for you --Axeblade346 12:29, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Uploaded to the wiki and added to the page for you! --Atr 13:33, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Can that be controlled via redstone, do you know? --Atr 13:22, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Yes, the trapdoor acts exactly like a wooden door, except for size and the orientation it opens. --Bmambl 14:18, 31 May 2011

Trivial

I wonder if we should add that TD's

1. Can`t be attached to glass

2. If you close a TD at the level you are standing with no clearance (1x1 hole) you can jump on it. Was able to make a trapdoor ladder this way.

Iron Trap doors?

Are they also there?

Unless there's a different recipe for it, so far I haven't found any evidence there is an "Iron trapdoor," despite the fact that it seems to operate almost exactly like a normal door --Bmambl 13:22, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Image

On the bottom of the page why is the image for the trapdoor of redstone? Timberdoodle 17:52, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm guessing because there is no trapdoor icon to use - but that's just speculation :P --Warlock 17:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Edit: Oh, it's wrong even in the blocks list (thought you meant that diagram someone drew of the drawbridge or whatever). Yeah that's weird. If there's no icon there should at least be a [?] thing for now. --Warlock 17:57, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

One-way passage

If you build two tiles high tunnel and add a hatch at the exit, then you can exit tunnel, but not enter. example
XXXXXXX
XXXX

___=
XXXXXXX

X — wall
= — trapdoor --MiiNiPaa 18:32, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Hatches with integrated ladders?

Would be cool if something like that would come in a future update. I got more floors in my house, and they´re all connected with one long ladder. But to add trapdoors there, those have to be combined with them. AIAS-5 19:51, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

I was under the impression the trapdoor occupied the space above the hole. Therefore, shouldn't you be able to place a ladder under it? (afterall, it opens upwards) Now if your trapdoor is at the bottom of a ladder, maybe that would be an issue. --Warlock 19:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

tnt can pass through open doors?

should we add that primed tnt can pass through open trapdoors, but not closed trapdoors --ranren12 10:34, may 26 2011 (UTC)

Light passing through

Shouldn't the line that light passes through the four gaps in the hatch be removed? The gaps are purely aesthetic, and don't actually let any light through themselves. I could make my hatches a solid black all over, leaving no gaps, and it would still let light through. Thx Deanm 10:36, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Well, since nobody has gotten back to me yet and i dont see a good reason not to, i'm going to just remove that line. --Deanm 11:53, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
