Merge proposal[]

The following discussion of a proposed merge with the MCW:Projects/Templates is closed. Please do not modify it until new advice.
For now we shouldn't merge the projects, as they can become really different actually. Maybe I can reopen this topic on the future, but not for now. Supeika (talk) 18:47, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

This project scope is to improve the template documentation to a general style, being useful for editors to make them easy to understand. The MCW:Projects/Templates project has a general scope, meaning that its priorities are general.

For now I don't have made a decision. If the projects are merged, this would become a subproject. If we don't merge, we would need to make them related but different enough. I don't know what to do, as merging would be useful only if many people are actively contributing. Supeika (talk) 05:47, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Since you are editing the templates themselves, not just the documentation, it seems more appropriate to merge/rename the project. Fadyblok240 (talk) 14:19, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
I edit the templates themselves when they are very different to other similar ones, but mostly I just add a nocat parameter. The main reason of why I think that we shouldn't merge is that the MCW:Projects/Templates is a vague project, having only 4 lines. Supeika (talk) 14:29, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
I have added more specific tasks to the project. It is still in development, but feel free to assist. Fadyblok240 (talk) 15:25, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

After discussing this on the community portal, here we should begin to decide how to implement the defined change. An example of a small template using a table to explain its parameters is at Template:Work in progress/doc/editcopy. Please give your feedback on the community portal to see what is the best way to redo this. Supeika (talk) 18:50, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
