Candidates[]

Canditates to be placed here. Assessed factors include edit count, edit size, edit content, activity, edit frequency, informativeness and accuracy. For reasons of bias, one cannot add their own name to this list --HexZyle 13:48, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey, i just found a numeric way of counting top contributors. On the Special:ActiveUsers page, you can find the most active users. Limiting the lists of user to 2000. And best off all, the amount of edits in the last 30 days is displayed behind the user name! For example:
  • Quatroking 84 edits
  • HexZyle 895 edits
  • Ultradude25 1662 edits
  • Kizzycocoa 200 edits
  • Cool12309 494 edits
I have also checked myself: 249. I hope all this data is usefull. Swpe 10:39, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I feel bad now. And that doesn't even include my bot... D: –ultradude25 (T|C) at 11:41, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry - 356 edits by Overwatch AI --HexZyle 03:28, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
R2D2 with 658. Thanks Swpe, using this method I was able to identify Cosmoconsole, which i had previously missed. --HexZyle 05:16, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
@Hexzyle, glad I could help. @Ultradude25 I noticed your editcount/last30days went down with 100 edits. Swpe(T|C) 13:02, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Great Idea[]

Even though I wont be in the top any time soon, this is a great idea. Maybe we could have a offense top list? Show the users that break the rules, or users that have the most revisions, most edits. Have a over-all list and a break down section of each type with a list of users. --Throex 15:19, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

I think an offense top list would be fairly pointless, because users that break the rules get banned, and therefore their username is rendered useless. Also people could be unfairly placed on this page. (like the rule against ban lists on the forums) --HexZyle 19:51, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Is this going to work?[]

Do you have any idea how your going to get a good list, manualy making this list is going to be a lot of work, maybe even impossible. Is there anywhere a place where you can see how much somebody edited? Because I dont recall ever seeing a stats page.
I like the idea and wish you good luck Swpe 12:34, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

All the edits that Swpe has made. All user information can be gathered from the contribution pages, given enough time. And you don't know me, how obsessed I can be over something so trivial, look at this: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&offset=20110830063053&contribs=user&target=HexZyle --HexZyle 12:50, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
That's what you get when you combine Aspergers Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Computer Addiction, Minecraft Addiction, and Information addiction.
Oke... Well like I said: good luck. and I`ll put this page on my watchlist, because I`m interested in what this is going to become. Swpe 12:56, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Well, since this is a project i started because I'm bored, don't expect it to go too far. Then again, you might be surprised. Hopefully reliable people contribute to it and keep it running, even in my absence. --HexZyle 13:54, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Ya know.. why doesn't one of the admins (aren't you one?) just make a stats page or something...btw I've realized that after editing so much, I've lost some interest cause there just isn't enough new information to write about lol and rewriting grammatically incorrect paragraphs and clarifying sentences is becoming a bit like "busy" work. I might even lose complete interest in MC until there are some new features to be explored. I guess I can use this to wean myself off of MC so I can focus on other stuff even though I don't have much time to be helping out here lol >.> (sorry random rant) - Asterick6 06:40, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
I'm not an admin. And i asked one of the admins about it, but they just said it would promote Editcountitis. So, I decided to make a homemade project on it based on actual study, rather than a computer function that just counts numbers --HexZyle 11:20, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Oh that's bad.. I wouldn't want that to happen either. A project takes much more work than using a premade function to do the work. Kudos to you! glhv! - Asterick6 05:33, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Well I see it have becomed quite some page. The list looks like it make sense, but you should add explainations to the category`s, becuase what is incredeble and what is exceptional. Is one better than the other? Swpe 16:51, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the input. Feel free to change the wording a bit so it makes sense. If not then I'll get around to it as soon as I can --HexZyle 12:11, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Why tnx![]

I really appreciate that you added me to the list, I'm only here for a few months and my grammar and spelling is quite bad so I never though of my-self as a top contributor. Maybe you putted me in because I remade a few templates but compared to some of the content work I've seen others do here, I am not even close to they're level of dedication, I assure you.--Yurisho 16:13, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
