Article series

If the consensus said for it to be on this Wiki. I think it'd be better to add an article series introductory on every Minecraft: Dungeons article in order to avoid any clash/confusion with the normal Minecraft gameplay. E.g. wikipedia:Law of gravitation; wikipedia:Quantum entanglement. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 06:51, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

I don't know what you mean, but if you want to contribute and add what you are talking about to the two existing articles and all future articles, that is fine by me. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table JE1 BE1 VillagerFace File:Sword diamond TextureUpdate.png 11:27, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Oh, NOW I see what you mean. I don't know how to do that, but if you know how and want to contribute, then go right ahead. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table JE1 BE1 VillagerFace File:Sword diamond TextureUpdate.png 11:28, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

List all the sources

We should list out all of the sources and references so we can be easier to navigate through the links or videos. skylord_wars (talk) 13:43, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

I agree. How should we carry that out? --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) (Smithing Table JE1 BE1 Contributions) (VillagerFace My favorite mob) (File:Sword diamond TextureUpdate.png Minecraft: Dungeons Wiki project) 13:44, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
We can make a section title Sources and place all known videos and articles about Minecraft Dungeons in it.--skylord_wars (talk) 09:54, 16 June 2019 (UTC)

Music

Should we have separate articles for each music track within MC Dungeons, since it'll be more like other games, which have unique pages per song? - User-12316399 (talk) 23:51, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

seperate pages for vanilla mobs and dungeon mobs?

mobs in dungeons behave very differently to those in the vanilla java and bedrock games. it'd take a lot of work, but we could have separate pages for the two different games.

--Oreli (talk) 04:00, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

I'd been thinking about doing that, but wasn't sure if someone would merge the pages and forgo any Dungeons-related information saying they were basically the same (which you and I both know they're not). --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) (Smithing Table JE1 BE1 Contributions) (VillagerFace My favorite mob) (File:Sword diamond TextureUpdate.png Minecraft Dungeons Wiki project) 22:37, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Where to go with this project

The following is a closed discussion. Please do not modify it. Any editors wishing to make further comments should start a new topic.

The result of the discussion was to document Minecraft Dungeons pages in a separate namespace. This was the result of the "aim of the wiki" discussion on the community portal, and as this thread covers the same topic, it would make sense to follow the outcome decided there. See that discussion for the full details. –Sonicwave talk 17:15, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

With the Minecraft Dungeons Beta being available Minecraft Dungeons is getting more attention and this project is growing fast. This creates the questions as to were to go with these pages as keeping them in the project namespace forever is definitely not ideal. Here are a few suggestions as to possible solutions:

  • Keep the pages on this wiki in the article namespace, differentiating them from the vanilla Minecraft pages by using (Dungeons) if necessary.
  • Keep the pages on this wiki in an extra namespace Minecraft Dungeons:
  • Moving them into an actual Minecraft Dungeons Wiki
    • There is already an active Minecraft Dungeons Wiki on Fandom where this project could be merged into.
    • It might be possible to create a new Minecraft Dungeons Wiki on Gamepedia, but this should be decided soon.

All those solutions should be followed by Crossover discussions with the Fandom wiki if possible, to keep the effort on documenting the game together instead of splitting it into two wikis. And a decision should be made rather soon as the pages in the project namespace are not easily found by any readers and currently it's still easy to combine forces with the Fandom wiki.   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 19:27, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

I just want to add, that from an SEO point of view it would be the best to keep the content in this wiki, as it is an already established domain and used for Minecraft content.   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 19:36, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

I like the idea of creating a new wiki on Gamepedia specifically for Dungeons since it is a separate game from Minecraft. Th3experttrotter (talk) 02:18, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

This relates to the "aim of the wiki" discussion that has been ongoing for a long time. I would prefer documenting Dungeons info in a separate namespace (that will hopefully be searchable) or another Gamepedia wiki that is closely connected with and has a similar layout as this one, like the German Technik wiki. Splitting Dungeons to the Fandom wiki feels too disconnected IMO (due to Fandom's different layout, though future UCP developments might change that), and mixing it into normal articles seems like it would be a mess. –Sonicwave talk 21:53, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
An extra namespace would be searchable. Searching for "Zombi" would suggest "Zombie", "Minecraft Dungeons:Zombie", "Zombie Pigman" etc.
An extra wiki would be a lot of work by recreating all the infrastructure that already exist on this wiki.   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 13:55, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Massive Oppose including Dungeons info in normal articles. Ditto to what Sonicwave said for everything else. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 00:07, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Support separate namespace, although I think it should be called "Dungeons:" and not "Minecraft Dungeons:" (unless there are reasons for that latter name; though I guess we can still make namespace aliases). --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 16:29, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
I'd support separate wiki. But I would like to know how it would work at Gamepedia, since FANDOM is working to unify the wikis of the same game with the Project Crossover, and there is already a wiki at FANDOM. --dr03ramos Piston (talk) Admin wiki[pt] 15:08, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
A separate wiki would most likely mean being moved into the existing Fandom wiki.   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 23:53, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

No onto separate wiki, that is a bad decision. This means, that Dungeons can lose Official Wiki status (Unless contacting Minecraft Staff). This wiki is about everything about Minecraft (including Story Mode), so also about Dungeons.--Treeislife2 (talk) 10:03, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Sprites request

I need someone to make ArmoredVindicatorFace, PiggyBankFace, and SkeletonVanguardFace entity sprites. That possible? And to put them where they need to be. Wolfheart lw (talk) 15:22, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Main Wiki page

Since all the project pages were moved to the Dungeons namespace, what will happen to the main page? It seems really inconsistent because now it is the only thing still part of the original project, and I feel like if it were to be merged with the main Dungeons page it would have to have all the stuff that was on here originally. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) (Smithing Table JE1 BE1 Contributions) (VillagerFace My favorite mob) (File:Sword diamond TextureUpdate.png Minecraft Dungeons Wiki project) 19:52, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Support moving Minecraft Dungeons to the new namespace. The BlobsPaper 23:34, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

somthing is happening to the minecraft wiki logo on minecraft dungeons pages.

I do not know if it is just me but if you go to any dungeons page (excluding the main page) the Minecraft wiki logo says 'Minecraft Dungeons wiki' and the green grass turns brown. Can anyone else see that and is their a variant for Minecraft Earth pages. --Minecraft loot (talk) 00:41, 25 April 2020 (UTC) Minecraft loot
