Superflat worlds: I couldn't find any village with the preset Snow which is supposed to create some and if I took the Overworld preset and changed the biome number (the one between colons) to something else like jungle or swamp, no structure would show up. I suppose this is because the ground level is not the proper one for structures to be created, but why should there be "village" option in the world preset then?

No matter what you have selected in the "village" option, villages can only be generated in Plains or Desert biomes. The "village" option is available so you can disable villages in these biomes, rather than enabling them anywhere. --timrem 07:20, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

Zombies not burning in daylight

[X] Playing SSP, I witnessed a zombie with an iron helmet that wouldn't burn in the daylight. Killed it and it didn't drop the helm. Perhaps it had something to do with me turning the game from peaceful at night and then going to bed directly after? --Keithicus420 19:51, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

  • No, a combination of normal behaviours. A zombie without a helmet, sword, or other item will only ever drop rotten flesh, and sometimes a potato or carrot. A zombie with armour or a weapon might drop one of its carried items, but it often does not. A zombie carrying something it picked up will drop that particular item with 100% reliability. A zombie with a helmet won't burn in sunshine, but can still despawn as usual. You just saw two of those possibilities happening at once.--82.69.54.207 21:22, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Oh, alright, thank you for resolving it. Moving to talk. --Keithicus420 02:53, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Spider Jockey Suffocation

I was playing on a world getting ready to kill a spider jockey. The spider jockey was in a two block high area. the spider jumped onto a block in the middle of the room, making the skeleton's head in the roof. The skeleton suffocated.

This has been happening since forever and with players on pigs, too.--☺ Sven ? ! 14:04, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
