Villager NPCs Not Reproducing
Not sure exactly when this happened, but my villagers don't reproduce (haven't for a couple snapshots). Had a nice desert village up until some Zombies attacked and some creepers snuck up on me. Now I'm down to a farmer and a librarian. I wasn't sure weather this was still the case with today's snapshot, but I tried to get them to but can't. I also can't seem to find anything where it's reported as a bug, and didn't want to post on the main bug-page without confirmation from someone else. Anyone else have this happen as well? --Urist McStout-Horn 21:20, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- I've tested it with 2 egg-spawned villagers in an artificial village. At least for me, they are reproducing, however the child just "spawned", with no apparent love mode. Lvxferre 23:56, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Might I enquire as to how exactly you've got your artificial village set up as far as construction? Also, I should add that this is in survival mode, not creative. --Urist McStout-Horn 00:18, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- The "village" I did in creative is just a 7x7 empty box full with 28 doors, check this: http://i.imgur.com/UztFe.png . Note, the adults were egg-spawned, but the two children not. I can check in game-generated villages if you want, but as rule of thumb, the villagers won't even try to reproduce if there are more villagers than 1/3 doors (so 21 doors = 7 villagers). - I have the same setup as you do there, except in survival, cobble instead of emerald blocks, and with 2 naturally spawned villagers, and I'm getting no kids. I can do some more fiddling about with them to see if it takes some time for them to pop out some kiddies. --Urist McStout-Horn 08:05, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Shouldn't there be a roof on the artificial house ? If the villagers don't accept the house as house, they won't reproduce (just my theory). --80.134.3.157 08:52, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell from the Villager page under Mating and population, the upper rows of blocks MAKE the roof. That would also go along with the picture on the same page of a "breeder" which is what I modeled mine after to no avail. I shall however do some more testing and report back. --Urist McStout-Horn 19:28, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I always did like that (of course, with wood/stone instead emerald blocks), and with no roof. I know they accept that as house because they run for it when it's night, and keep opening and closing the door. Also, they reproduce fine like that (and I checked the natural villages - they're reproducing fine, too). Lvxferre 03:10, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Endermen vs. Enderdragon
If the Enderdragon's charging attack hits a Enderman, it hurts the Enderman and start a mob infight. Is this intended behaviour? I can't remember happening in older versions of the game. Lvxferre 01:56, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Ender Dragon destroying Ender Chests.
The Ender Dragon can destroy Ender Chests. Does this seem inconsistent or out of place to anybody else? --CaMoreno3 08:28, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Unplayable
[!!] So I update to the snapshot as I would do it (Download, Backup, replace) and it wouldn't even start. 72.251.53.122 15:40, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
