Snow golems do not create snow layer[]

Top limit building crash[]

[!!] The bug from "Version history" page: "If a player builds to the height limit, and stands on top of that structure, the game will crash with a false "saving chunks" screen" also affects SMP. After crash, map (or chunk) seems to be corrupted. Server crashes with call trace:

  • Tried ssp, seed "asd", gathered dirt, built tower, (no crash), falled down and died (maybe should have tried respawn EDIT:tried respawn, (no crash)). every time I tried to respawn, restarted server, switched gamemode to fly back at tower, switched back, jumped down, died, respawned fine (no crash). 194.137.243.226 21:04, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

I noticed that when i'm on the tower (pilar) the server crashes immediately after the change of time. level-seed is set to "minecraft"

Another way to reproduce this: build a small platform (3x3) on top of the pilar, then replace block in the middle of this platform with jack-o-lantern.

High enchanting levels hard to obtain compared to benefit[]

[A!] The enchanting system has always, and continues to be frustratingly unfair. sometimes producing Efficiency III when a level 50 enchant is used. Considering you need to kill NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE zombies/creepers etc, to get to Level 50, users are naturally in consensus that, to quote Yahtzee Croshaw, the ratio of difficulty to find versus actual usefulness is completely arbitrary. While we respect the mystique Mojang have tried to create about enchanting, the numbers need serious review. Kizzycocoa

  • I always thought the current experice/level-system was kind of a placeholder for an upcomming rpg-like skill-system. The current form seems to be very odd to me. The random-enchantings are annoying and the XP-costs seem to be unbalanced. I do love Minecraft but the experience-system is - sorry - nonsense. --Deep Thought 42 10:22, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Sticky Keys[]

The sticky-keys bug appears to have resurfaced. Can someone else try to reproduce it?

Easiest Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the New launcher .jar, login 2. Create/Play a superflat world 3. Double-tap jump to enter fly mode 4. Build something using the right mouse click button and moving with WASD.

My system: coreI5 thinkpad laptop with integrated graphics (yeah yeah I know) running Xubuntu 11.10

Is it just Linux users or do Windows/Mac users get hit with this as well?

Enchanting without levels[]

In 1.2.2 some players on my server and myself were able to enchant tools and weapons without having levels to spend. I was able to reproduce the bug in single player also. Can anyone else reproduce this bug?

Anvil won't covert world[]

I tried to covert my flatgrass map to Anvil but it just blinks to the covert screen then shows an empty dirt background. After that it kicks me out of fullscreen and shows a black screen. Any ideas? Also I successfully converted all my other super-flat and normal worlds in about ten seconds. This is 1.2.2 with no mods and the map's files look identical to the other before conversion, right down to the individual files in each folder. EX: data has the maps and idcounts.dat --Droid1134 03:08, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Monster do not seem to spawn and water glitch[]

Monsters do not appear to spawn (on any difficulty besides Peaceful). I wander around at night, and am not threatened. Why were monsters removed from this game??? Also, dark square "splotches" and weird dark lines appear in water when I walk past, and do not go away.

   I can confirm both of these issues. Also, as a temporary fix for lighting errors, I find right clicking them removes them.--Funwayguy 07:56, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Torch placement on y=257[]

[?] It is possible to place a torch on y=257. Don't sure if this is a bug, but if this is true, it can be a possible crasher (tested on SMP)

1.2.2: I'm in a boat... 1.2.3: Wait, no I'm not[]

I was in a boat in a 1.2.2 game. Logged out. Upgraded to 1.2.3. Logged in again. Boat had disappeared completely (not even sticks and planks remaining) and I was at the bottom of the ocean. Is this a conversion glitch, or a 1.2.3 bug? 82.69.54.207

I have created Known bugs/Version 1.2.3 and copied there those 1.2.2 reported bugs that specifically mention 1.2.3. However, I cannot update :template:v so until that is done the Known bugs pages will misdirect the reader. Could an admin please update the necessary? -Aurelius 15:09, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
