The Minecraft Wiki is an online encyclopedia maintained by the community, for all from Minecraft Universe. The wiki includes Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Earth games, Mojang, and other studios, that were participating in making Minecraft.
The wiki was founded on July 16, 2009, but since November 15, 2010, it is hosted on the Gamepedia platform. As probably most wikis, The Minecraft Wiki is also running on wiki software called MediaWiki, the same as Wikipedia is using. With over 4300 pages, 1.2 million edits, and over 300 active users, Minecraft Wiki is one of the most popular wikis on the entire Gamepedia platform.
Currently, there are 18 Minecraft wikis in different languages. The biggest ones are Russian, English, Chinese, and Japanese wikis.
English Minecraft Wiki with some others also contains 2 smaller wikis, which are Minecraft Dungeons Wiki and Minecraft Earth Wiki. They can be found in their own Namespace.
Wiki is sometimes also edited by Mojang directly. Some pages like add-ons with their documentation were even made by them. And even these were created by Mojang, they're still editable for everyone unless pages are protected due vandalism. Also, Minecraft Wiki was used as a place to report bugs before Minecraft Bug Tracker was created.
