Current wiki news

  • Small note: All mentions of Mojang Specifications have been switched with "Mojang AB" as this is their current official title. For those wondering, AB means they're a joint-stock company.

Wanted pages

The Minecraft wiki is never finished, and new pages are added all the time. In case you'd like a certain page to be made and require help with this, please add onto this list.

  • A page on how Minecraft is updated, how to roll back, playing offline, why you should wait to update (server play, mods).
  • A section devoted to structure designs, such as the blue prints and/or instructions/videos showing how to make a certain structure shown. So someone could put an image/video of a... cathedral say, then detailed instructions in how to re-create it.
  • A tutorial of adding projects, not the weird tutorial on the projects page that i don't understand (i'm new and don't know what a namespace is or how to create a new article there)
  • How to do complex redstone explained. All I get about the 'Advanced Redstone Logic' is that it uses Redstone: torches, wire, repeaters.
  • A page for all the leaked photos from Notch, Jeb, or other minecraft devs about future updates. (a tag on the all the photos should work)
  • A page on how to mod.
  • More tutorials, like ones on Surviving in the Nether and PvP
  • A page on ideas/suggestions/improvements for the game from other users of the wiki.
  • A description of the portal from the End to the Overworld (behavior and the blocks that make it up).
  • Explanation about the mobs .png files.
  • An article on the score or point system, and how scoring works, etc.
  • A page full of multiplayer servers for the bought and free version. See server list.
  • An article on Mob AI behavior, mechanics, changes, etc. (especially since Jon is now working significantly on them).

Other perennially useful pages

Requests for comment are for assisting editors in gathering further input on any wiki matter. This can be useful in generating discussion, resolving disputes, or reaching consensus. All editors are welcome to assist with a request by responding within the linked talk page. Remember that the Minecraft Wiki operates on a system of consensus rather than voting, and explaining your reasoning can generally be more helpful than simply supporting one side of a dispute.

To create a new request: add an item to the top of the list below, providing a brief, neutral summary of the issue and linking to an appropriate talk page section, without using alternative text for the link.
