- Unregistered/IP editors are no longer able to create non-talk pages, and an abuse filter preventing new accounts from creating most pages has been disabled. The relevant discussion can be found here. – September 11, 2019
- A new notification system, Reverb, is now live on Gamepedia wikis, including Minecraft Wiki. – August 1, 2019
- All Java Edition version pages have been renamed to include "Java Edition" in the title (e.g. 1.13 was moved to Java Edition 1.13). The relevant discussion can be found here. – March 9, 2019
- Administrators are now able to grant and remove the autopatrol right from users; previously this feature was only available to bureaucrats. – January 30, 2019

Requests for comment
Requests for comment are for assisting editors in gathering further input on any wiki matter. This can be useful in generating discussion, resolving disputes, or reaching consensus. All editors are welcome to assist with a request by responding within the linked talk page. Remember that the Minecraft Wiki operates on a system of consensus rather than voting, and explaining your reasoning can generally be more helpful than simply supporting one side of a dispute.
