If you have been wrongfully blocked, please visit an admin's userpage, and send them an email, using the left sidebar.

The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, consider the following:

  • As this is a noticeboard and not a talk page, please refrain from discussing.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comments instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made if a resolution could not be reached between users.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene.

Current issues

37.15.50.0 (talkcontribslogsblock log) and 90.163.196.173 (talkcontribslogsblock log)

Both of these have been consistently vandalising the Tripwire Hook page with nonsense spanish, some offensive. I would suggest a ban, as it almost certainly is not good faith. – Unsigned comment added by Jaredjeya (talkcontribs). Sign comments with ~~~~

Also of note is that the reporting user here created userpages for both of these users with the text "I'm an a*hole". Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 18:47, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

I seem to be unable to revert this; the revert proceeds without error, but nothing happens. Not a cache issue - there's nothing in the logs or file history. -- Orthotope 12:23, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Pocket Edition upcoming features

Excessive amount of vandalism in the last few days, by both IPs and registered users. It'll probably die down once the next version comes out, but some level of protection until then would be nice. -- Orthotope 06:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

There have been literally dozens edits that have contributed absolutely nothing to that page. I've undone so many revisions on that page as almost all the other pages combined as of late. --Moxxy 15:20, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Hardware performance

Spam and a display error towards the bottom of the page. Cannot correct, because my edits are automatically flagged as malicious for trying to remove a section (which needs to be removed to remove the spam).

Mods

The Mods page seems to have gone bad; visiting it gives an Error page (not the usual no-page-exists result), and my recent changes feed contains an entry for it saying “Can't load revision 307248” instead of a diff (date 2012-05-14 7:41, author 89.187.100.66), and no entry indicating it was intentionally deleted. —kpreid 15:39, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

It seems the edit of 89.187.100.66 (talkcontribslogsblock log) has broken the page. His edit does not appears in the page history but is in the recent changes:

It seems, you can't edit the page anymore. I tried to put the latest working version of that page back, but it gives a 'Server error'. - CrazyBliep NL Admin 18:18, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

The same problem has occurred on the Sugar Cane page, this time after an edit by 76.121.161.221 (talkcontribslogsblock log) :

And again at Water. Has anyone figured out what causes this? -- Orthotope 03:57, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Database got corrupted somehow, so the the latest diff on some pages at that time became invalid. It seems to only actually cause the page to break when someone tries to edit the invalid diff, probably due to caching. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 13:29, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

BrandonSkyPimenta (talkcontribslogsblock log)

I have noticed that this user is flooding recent changes with edits to his page, making it harder to find recently edited pages that were vandalized. however, he has not done any vandalism himself though therefore has no reason to be banned. so, I propose that his talk page and user page should be blocked in some way, forcing him to either help the wiki, or quit. what make this even worse are his multiple adim requests. Perhaps im wrong, but i think wikis aren't the place to make a perfect user page, thats what facebook is for. KingFlameTail 20:43, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

now he is pointlessly editing templates, and has started an edit war. I think it would be better to simply ban him. KingFlameTail 23:00, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I would not like to be banned, even if I'm doing edit wars. --BrandonSkyPimenta (Need help?) 00:18, 16 May 2012 (UTC)9
If you dont want to be banned, then stop having edit wars. Edit wars are a surefire way to get banned, especially if your having an edit war with an ADMIN! Just face the fact that you won't be an admin any time soon. KingFlameTail 00:24, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Side Panels

The 'Recent Community Articles' and 'Mojang Tweets' side panels are normally OK, except on image viewing pages where I find them a darn nuisance, but they also obscure part of the list of admins on the Directors page. a) This is a very well-known and long-standing layout bug. b) Isn't the fact that it affects the directors page a big enough issue to justify fixing the problem? --82.69.54.207 12:16, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server - Page protection

Since we're mostly removing spam and vandalism from this page, it seems a good idea to only show changes after some administrative revision, or allow only registered users to write it. I hope this helps, since it's mostly anonymous users doing it... -- M3tal_Warrior -- 07:42, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
