Stone, also known as Smooth Stone or Natural Stone is a type of block. It uses the same texture on all six sides of the block. Stone appears abundantly on naturally generated maps, and (besides Air) has the most blocks in a normal map.

Stone is available for use in Creative mode. The Stone layer of a Creative map contains Caverns, Ore and underground pools of Water and Lava. Stone is also formed from lava if water hits it.

When there were not many block types, Stone was an often-used building material. Currently, Stone is an all-around block used in buildings, basements, tunnels, roads, paths and many other things.

In Multiplayer, Stone blocks will turn into Bedrock when an Op uses the /solid command. Bedrock is placed through Stone to ensure non-Op players cannot place it.

Beta Mode
In Beta mode, Stone is a useful resource. Stone can only be successfully mined with a Pickaxe and will drop Cobblestone, which is used in many crafting recipes and as a sturdy building material. If it is not mined with a pickaxe, then it will not drop anything. Cobblestone can be smelted into Smooth Stone again. Stone can be used as a building material as well and can be used in several crafting recipes.

Iron and gold blocks only lack resistance for 1 block, and the 3 blocks all have the same temporary health (30). Is this value meant to be 1, or is it really indestructible by TNT and should be 0 like Obsidian?

TNT resistance

Why is this currently N/A?

Iron and gold blocks only lack resistance for 1 block, and the 3 blocks all have the same temporary health (30). Is this value meant to be 1, or is it really indestructible by TNT and should be 0 like Obsidian?
