Since the beginning of Minecraft Legends development, there have been a number of features added to the game that have no actual use in-game. Some of these features were removed in an update, or were leftover from removed features, only mentioned in trailers, or simply placeholders for new features.

Profanity filter[]

A profanity filter was originally meant to be included within Minecraft Legends. Remnants of this profanity filter can still be found within the game files.

Quick chat[]

A quick chat was originally meant to be included within Minecraft Legends for console players. Remnants of a quick chat UI can still be found within the textures-hbui files.

Items[]

Emerald[]

An Emerald was a scrapped item that was originally meant to be used to spawn mobs before it was scrapped in favor of using lapis instead.

Elytra[]

An Elytra was a scrapped item that was originally intended to be used by animals such as badgers, sea turtles, pigs and etc. The remnants of the elytra can be found in the animation controllers folder item_elytra_wings_med.animations.json

Hit Effects[]

This section contains hit effects.

Sleep Negate[]

Nothing much is known about this feature other than it has a strength of 1 when applied. Remnants of sleep negate can be found in the behavior pack in hit effects hit_effect_sleep_negate.json

Slimeyshield Knockback[]

Nothing much is known about this feature other than it has a force of 15 when applied. Remnants of slimeyshield can be found in the behavior pack in hit effects hit_effect_slimeyshield_knockback.json

This section contains unused map features.

Biome colors[]

Biomes in the map were originally meant to be colored so players can distinguish them better. Remnants of the colored map can be found in the textures-hbui inside of the tutorial files.

Maps originally worked like maps in vanilla Minecraft.

Mobs[]

This section contains unused and cut mobs.

Alchemist[]

An Alchemist was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Alchemists can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Beastmaster[]

A Beastmaster was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Beastmasters can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Beekeeper[]

A Beekeeper was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Beekeepers can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Frog[]

A frog was unused mount. Remnants of frogs can still be seen within the game files, such as animations and subtitles.

Glassblower[]

A Glassblower was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Glassblowers can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Ice Sculptor[]

An Ice Sculptor was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Ice Sculptors can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Interpreter[]

An Interpreter was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Interpreters can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Musician[]

A Musician was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Musicians can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Spider[]

A spider was an unused mount. A spider could be seen within the Minecraft Legends poster and in a piece of concept art where it was being ridden by the Hero. There are still remnants of spiders within the lang files where it is referred to as a unit mob that would have been spawned by spawners. There is also a sound file for a mountain where spiders were meant to spawn.

Super Rare Mobs[]

Super rare mobs were originally planned but got cut. Nothing much else is known about them other that remnants of super rare mobs can be found in the behavior pack in the services folder loot_table.json

Unidentified fifth First[]

The unidentified fifth First was an unused mob that was originally meant to be included as one of the Firsts before it was scrapped for an unknown reason. Remnants of the unidentified fifth First still exist within the lang files.

Weaver[]

A Weaver was a villager profession that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends before it was scrapped. Remnants of Weavers can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

PvP[]

This section contains cut PvP features.

Berserk Team[]

Nothing much is known about the berserk team. Remnants of the berserk team can be found in the behavior pack in the services folder team_manager.json

Terrain features[]

This section contains cut terrain features.

Giant Nest[]

A Giant Nest was an unused terrain feature that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends. Dialogue of the Hosts talking about giant nests can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Volcano[]

A Volcano was an unused terrain feature that was originally meant to spawn within Minecraft Legends. Remnants of volcanoes can be found within the db_LG.lang file.

Textures and icons[]

This section contains unused textures and icons.

Hero portrait[]

In the games files, there are four Hero portraits that appear when selecting a hero.

Disabled small hero[]

There is a file named hero_small_disabled.png, though there is no way to select this version of the hero.

Other heroes[]

There are also three other files for unknown purposes.

Hero persona[]

In the game files, there are two references to a custom hero feature. The file for not selecting a hero persona is referred to by the name hero_small_persona_blank.png while the file for selecting a custom hero is referred to by the name hero_large_persona_blank.png.

Main game textures[]

This section contains files that have textures from the Bedrock and Java Editions of the main Minecraft game.

Default heroes[]

There are two heroes that do not use the Minecraft Legends format. These heroes have the appearance of the Steve and Alex skins from the main Minecraft game. They are referred to by the names steve.png and alex.png.

Template Alex[]

There is another texture of Alex which is referred to by the name templateAlex-bbed9.png. It consists of Alex's face.

Minecraftplayer[]

In the game files, the Heroes and Mounts screen has two files referred to by the name minecraftplayer.png. The appearance of the hero is similar to the "Ranger skin".

Mortar[]

A Mortar can be seen within the texture for mossy golems. The texture has the appearance of an object that looks similar to a grass block.

Mount icons[]

In the game files, there are four mounts that are referred to by the names mount_locked_beetle.png, mount_locked_bird.png, mount_locked_horse.png, mount_locked_tiger.png

Profile portraits[]

There are some unused hero profile portraits within the textures-hbui file that were originally meant to allow players to change their profile portrait.
