Game files page has been moved to Minecraft Wiki namespace. is now a publicly accessible resource to be used by wiki editors. James Haydon (talk) 13:43, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

There should be a section on this wiki where everything in the game files, every exact detail, is on. The reason why I suggest this is because there are a lot of people who want to contribute but aren’t able to access the game files. There should also be a page explaining how to access the game files. Not sure how to post on a talk page, I hope I did it right. Drour1234

Um... A user by the name of HNaledi123 has already made something like that, it's called User:HNaledi123/DungeonsExtractedFilesTemplate. I think it should be a mainspace page but I'll need their permission to move it. James Haydon (talk) 22:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Can you see if you can get permission?— Unsigned comment added by Dour1234 (talkcontribs) at 22:33, 30 March 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Okay ill ask on discord. James Haydon (talk) 22:35, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay he said we could but only to the template namespace. James Haydon (talk) 18:32, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
When is it going to be available to look at on that page? Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 31 March 2021 (UTC).
Its a template, so it could be put on any page, but I'll also make it into a separate page as well if that's what you want. I'll call it MCD:Game Files. James Haydon (talk) 20:35, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
BADGYTHEBADGERR:I agree I'm making a mc dungeons addon and I need the textures to make the mod– Unsigned comment added by 66.41.99.212 (talk) at 00:56, 12 April 2021‎ (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Well you can now, the page is now called MCW:Minecraft Dungeons Game Files. James Haydon (talk) 15:58, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

ancient mob pop-up and artifact

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
Was confirmed to be a bug. Is now fixed. James Haydon (talk) 13:38, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

I know that this should probably be in items, but when I load up an ancient hunt, I get an artifact that looks like a potato in the rewards box, but always get 10 gold instead. any ideas what that is? also, maybe we should have a pop-up section under ancient mobs that shows all ancient mobs if the user wants to just go to a specific one.173.67.181.186 23:30, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Ancient hunts don't have artifact awards at the end of the level. Those things in the reward box where normal items would be are actually the ancient mobs you'll find on ancient hunts. Also ancient mobs are already mentioned on two pages, the Enchanted Mobs and Ancient Hunts pages respectively. James Haydon (talk) 02:24, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
I am going to trust you, as you seem to know a lot about the game, but there is only ONE item and it is labeled "Artifact" on the thing. load up a hunt if you dont believe me, it will be underneath the "choose your diffuculty" slider.173.67.181.186 02:35, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay ill check myself, I have feeling this is a glitch considering ancient hunts aren't even supposed to drop artifacts, only gold and gilded items. James Haydon (talk) 02:42, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay I looked closely at it and it looks like a piece of gold to me, only problem is I already obtained gold but it still has the ? symbol over it. James Haydon (talk) 02:45, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
my thoughts exactly173.67.181.186 02:47, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
I am on apocolypse +20 and have obtained many gold bars and gilded items173.67.181.186 02:49, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
I have obtained a lot of gold as well, but yet it still shows a ? over it, I don't know what it is for sure, all I know is that it looks like either gold or something similar to a potato. James Haydon (talk) 02:51, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay based on my research this is most likely a bug as it didn't appear in 1.8.0.0, the update that added ancient hunts. It only appears in 1.8.6.0, so it's most likely a bug or something that they may be planning, like ancient hunt exclusive artifacts or something, though I doubt they would tease it like that. James Haydon (talk) 02:59, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
knowing mojang, they would probably relase a twitter image first. however, mabye it is something fron the 1.9.0/ ocean DLC that sneaked in by accident, like an ancient drowend/guardian that drops gilded artifacts173.67.181.186 03:22, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay sent it on discord and as I predicted its just a bug. [1] [2]. James Haydon (talk) 14:15, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Also, is there anything I can do to help the situation with the missing "Yellow Glint" image of the ancients? 173.67.181.186 23:02, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

Non-Alive Mobs Section

Idea was incorporated on the page. James Haydon (talk) 00:45, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

I noticed that in the other mobs category, the Non-Alive Mobs section has been getting a little bit crowded and chaotic with how many mobs are in that section. I think that there should be a non-alive section in each update section as new non-alive mobs are added pretty frequently. I also suggest that the mob-like features section gets the same treatment. Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 2 April 2021 (UTC).

Okay so I guess get rid of that whole section and split it into their own sub-sections for where they appear, like what we did with non-attackable mobs. James Haydon (talk) 17:43, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

How was it better before my edits?– Unsigned comment added by Dour1234 (talkcontribs) at 22:29, 3 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Because you added some incorrect info, like having the Baby Chicken appear in all the DLC sections, even though it only comes with the hero pass and not with any DLC's. James Haydon (talk) 22:33, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying what I did wrong with my edits. However, with the exception of the Baby Chicken, the other mobs can be unlocked after getting each individual DLC. For example, the Baby Parrot can be obtained by getting only the Jungle Awakens DLC, the Arctic fox can be obtained by getting only the Creeping Winter DLC, the Baby Goat can be obtained by getting only the Howling Peaks DLC, and the Baby Ghast can be obtained by getting only the Flames of the Nether DLC. The Baby Pig was given out for free as a result of the game reaching 10 million players. My point is that the pets should not all be in one subsection as they added a new pet in every DLC so far and will likely continue to do so. The section in the other mobs subsection should be renamed to Hero Pass Exclusives, with the Baby Chicken listed under it with other exclusives that you cannot buy individually. Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 7 April 2021 (UTC).
Having a whole major section for 1 mob is a bit excessive. James Haydon (talk) 21:23, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
While I do agree with you on that, where else is the Baby Chicken mob going to go? I am asking this because there also shouldn’t be one huge subsection in the other mobs section dedicated to Decorative Pets when the developers are adding a new pet in every update. To be honest, I think that it is fine for right now. Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 7 April 2021 (UTC).
We should probably add it to the mainland since it isn't found in any DLC, only a bundle. James Haydon (talk) 23:27, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
The problem is that the Baby Chicken comes with the Hero Pass, which is not free, and the mainland section is only for things included with the base game. Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 7 April 2021 (UTC).

On a side note, how can I improve the signing part of commenting on this talk page? Dour1234 (talkcontribs) on 7 April 2021 (UTC).

Okay well it is not a DLC item either, so we can't really put it in a DLC section, unless we make a bundles exclusive section. But there isn't any season pass pets yet, so it would only have the Baby Chicken which is too little for a major section. Also about your comment signing, it's good but you should probably get rid of those things because it makes the text harder to see. Also it's missing the timestamp. James Haydon (talk) 00:02, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Sunken Skeleton

Hello fellow wiki authors, seeing how we have recently reached the 1 year anniversary of Minecraft Dungeons I have thought of joining the many great authors of this wiki. Anyways introduction and all… I have noticed on the pages of the Sunken Skeletons and the in-game of the Minecraft Dungeons:Hidden Depths DLC that Purple Sunken Skeletons are officially referred to in-game as Sunken Skeletons and Red and Yellow Sunken Skeletons are officially called Armored Sunken Skeletons in-game, with Red Sunken Skeletons being the weaker armored variant and Yellow Sunken Skeletons being the stronger variant. With this discovery I was wondering if it would be okay with the rest of the authors here if I could make these tweaks because I do not want to upset anyone or break any rules User:Aaron526 (talk) 12:08, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Of course! The Dungeons wiki always needs new contributors. James Haydon (talk) 12:50, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Salmon and Cod are not found in the Hidden Depths DLC. James Haydon (talk) 01:02, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
