tempest knife in the ocean dlc screenshots?

the tempest knife bears a strong resemblance to the knife in the ocean dlc launchpad screenshot. could they be the same?

Oreli (talk) 18:46, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

I looked closely at the image and they looked the same, so yes. James Haydon (talk) 18:48, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

DLC order

It has been confirmed that the ocean dlc is coming before the nether & end dlcs right?– Unsigned comment added by JudahPlayzGamingYT (talkcontribs). Sign comments with ~~~~

Idk, there could be a possibility that the nether one is coming before based on the images that mojang used but they never actually said anything. James Haydon (talk) 17:52, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
True--JudahPlayzGamingYT (talk) 18:08, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
Yes exactly. Mojang has only really talked about Howling Peaks so far. James Haydon (talk) 18:09, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
I'm from the future, and here to tell you guys that Flames of The Nether released before this. Actually, heck, this doesn't even have a confirmed release date yet. --75.108.152.71 17:01, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Yes they will announce it eventually, they tell us the release date once the DLC is almost ready based on my observation. James Haydon (talk) 17:05, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Announced for May 26 MetalManiacMc at your service fellow human! (talk) 11:49, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

More mobs?

The elder guardian and guardian they are in game file so can we add them? And will this dlc or the nether dlc be released first?--JudahPlayzGamingYT (talk) 16:47, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Again, we pretty much know very little, so we shouldnt be adding a boatload of info right away. James Haydon (talk) 16:49, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

I saw this in photo ID of this

I saw this in photo ID of this armor it was labeled Prismarine armor I can't send the link because I could not find it it again, but check if "prismarine armor" is in the game files.--JudahPlayzGamingYT (talk) 16:58, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay find it but im not too sure i believe this. It could be from a mod or a fanon wiki. James Haydon (talk) 17:05, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
And also the latest game files have no file name "prismarine armor" in them anywhere. James Haydon (talk) 17:05, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Ok I Don't believe it either but I
Found the link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00QOSA6tOkE its from a fanon wiki I believe.--JudahPlayzGamingYT (talk) 17:13, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
Okay fanon is not really true information so we shouldn't be adding it anywhere here. James Haydon (talk) 17:15, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Is high duty harpoons weapons, or a consumable?

Its very confusing, because harpoons are like weapons in real life, but its labelled as consumable, maybe an artifact– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 16:29, 30 January 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Its referred to as the Heavy Harpoon in several files, which makes more sense. I'm thinking its either a consumable or a quiver artifact like the fireworks arrow. James Haydon (talk) 17:16, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
What happened to the high duty harpoons and why are high duty harpoons in the consumable--JudahPlayzGamingYT (talk) 22:38, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Because when we datamined them more, we found out that they behave in a similar fashion to the TNT or the Arrow quiver drops. We cant say for sure, but that's most likely the case. James Haydon (talk) 23:05, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
The high duty harpoon consumable is probably the ammo of the trident. The trident will (presumably) be a ranged and melee weapon 66.31.131.163 12:49, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Most likely. James Haydon (talk) 13:41, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
It is likely to be a consumable somewhat like the TNT. OkSteak (talk) 15:43, 12 March 2021 (UTC)OkSteak
Yes that's what it's currently labeled as. It seems likely that is the case based on what little files were related to it. James Haydon (talk) 15:59, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Actually, I made a mistake when I first called it a consumable. I had assumed it'd act like the TNT, where it takes up your quiver while you hold it, but it appears to act more like a quiver artifact. Oreli (talk) 20:58, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
I think that the heavy harpoon would be an artifact or a weapon because the arrow and tnt consumables don't have descriptions, while this does. If it is a weapon, then I think it may use a special ammo, like how the wind bow (and it's variants) fire "gale arrows", but instead it uses some sort of harpoon spear ammo, but I don't know. Blu Gy (talk) 22:06, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes I agree on that one, I am willing to bet it's a quiver artifact like the Fireworks Arrow mainly because it seems like too peculiar of a name for a weapon, because all non-unique ranged weapons have either bow or crossbow in their names. James Haydon (talk) 22:10, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Actually, all ranged weapons are either bows or crossbows, so it could be an artifact. However, all arrow/quiver type artifacts are based on swapping regular arrows with a different type of arrow instead of swapping the weapon, so it seems like this could be either a new type of arrow artifact that does swap your current chosen ranged weapon, or a new type of ranged weapon. Also, note that is specifically noted as a heavy harpoon instead of just harpoon, so there could either be a new type of ranged weapon called harpoons, or it may just be some sort of unique variant of a harpoon, or it could just be a base weapon, like how the Great Hammer is referred to as just that. Either way, there are a lot of theories that could be possible for what the heavy harpoon could be. Another thing is that someone thought this could be some sort of ammo for the trident. I think the trident may either be a melee weapon with a throw being part of an attack combo, or a quiver artifact. Blu Gy (talk) 22:36, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
The Trident is very likely a weapon, though it will be a very unique type as it can be used for both melee and ranged combat. For the Harpoon however, it doesn't seem likely that they will add an entirely new type of ranged weapons just for a DLC. James Haydon (talk) 22:41, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Now that I think of it, the quiver-like artifact looks like harpoon spears, so it could possibly be an arrow that moves faster underwater, as the description says. So the harpoons could be the quiver artifact seen in the Twitter video. Blu Gy (talk) 15:17, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Breathe bar

Like minecraft, you can drown, but how can you tell running out of breathe– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:39, 31 January 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Based on the footage we have of the DLC so far, their doesn't seem to be any underwater breathing mechanic implemented yet. But it could be a possibility because swimming was an implemented mechanic. James Haydon (talk) 18:35, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Actually, it has a high chance to appear, since bubble columns are there. Mr. trex 2021 (talk) 19:24, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

is prismarine armor confirmed

squid armor

I noticed squid armor has a wolf nose, could it just be a reskin?– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 01:25, 20 March 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Most likely could be considering how early in development the DLC is in, or at least when that image was taken. James Haydon (talk) 03:53, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
It's also possible that part of the skin the player was wearing was peeking through a hole in the armour. Oreli (talk) 16:43, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
I looked closer and it's just the players face. But it does look like a snout from a distance. James Haydon (talk) 02:55, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Not yet. Coral Rise is the only one we found that will likely be added in the DLC. But nobody checked the files of the latest version of dungeons (1.8.6.0) for any new DLC additions. James Haydon (talk) 14:35, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Is there anything else that is in the game files? Blu Gy (talk) 23:59, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Not as of yet. James Haydon (talk) 05:50, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Mob

Ok, I think the necromancer in the trailer is not a normal one. Like what if you play an ancient hunt and it summons drowned, instead of a zombie. So I think there should be an ocean variant of necromancers. Similar to the blaze spawner.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 21:47, 16 April 2021‎ (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Well it could just be that zombies are unable to spawn underwater. Aside from the drowned, it looks literally identical to the regular necromancer, so it is not a variant. The blaze spawner also has a different appearance and spawning from the regular overworld spawners, so therefore it is classified as a separate mob. The blaze spawner has more differentiating it from its base counterpart than the mobs it spawns, so not a good comparison. James Haydon (talk) 02:48, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
Ok, so if somebody dies in multiplayer, the drowned would spawn instead of zombies.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:05, 19 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Not really, considering that zombies cannot spawn normally in creeping winter levels, but yet can still spawn if a player dies. James Haydon (talk) 15:21, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Speaking of Creeping Winter, there are some strays underwater, so I have a feeling that there is an cold ocean level.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:17, 22 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
You mean Frozen Ocean? Strays can't really spawn underwater. It would have to be really cold, which means it would likely be ice instead. James Haydon (talk) 15:22, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
I do know they don't spawn underwater, but some Illagers are there too, so I felt like they somehow fell in there or the orb made them breathe underwater.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 17:52, 22 April 2021‎ (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Well that was an early alpha, so those Illagers were most likely present for testing purposes, same thing with the strays. James Haydon (talk) 17:55, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
I wonder why there is no Illagers in the nether in the same trailer, so maybe there is a Illager in ocean.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:27, 26 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Wouldn't know for sure. I would think that Illagers would not want to be somewhere where they couldn't breathe. The player doesn't seem to drown when underwater though. James Haydon (talk) 15:29, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

Look closely

Guys, in the necromancer and drowned photo, look closely at the player and besides an axe, she’s holding something on the other hand, so do you think its an artifact or the harpoons we talked about earlier.– Unsigned comment added by ‎24.7.14.222 (talkcontribs) at 01:55, 18 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

I think that's a trident that was thrown, not an item she is holding. If you look, you could see a lot of tridents on her body. James Haydon (talk) 02:49, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
I don’t see any drowned holding a trident, anyway any proof of a new ancient mob(unusual runes pattern, mob name, etc).– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 02:10, 19 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
If you look closely, you can see two drowned holding what are likely tridents. Also there isn't any proof of an Ocean DLC exclusive ancient mob as there hasn't been any recent material on it. James Haydon (talk) 03:23, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Drowned Dungeons

If you look close enough, you can see that two drowned near the necromancer are holding something.

Oh I see, Thanks– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:02, 19 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Ok, I looked a little closer to the tridents and look an awful lot like whispering spears.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:10, 20 April 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Yes I agree, bit they look somewhat smaller than spears, and they have a different front end. James Haydon (talk) 15:23, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
No, the "tridents" in the image are Whispering Spears except they look shrunken, but they are probably placeholder textures. Blu Gy (talk) 22:40, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Most likely now that I think how early the DLC was in development when Minecraft Live 2020 occurred. James Haydon (talk) 22:45, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

tempest knife confirmed to be included?

Are we even sure, because the tempest knife is only found in howling peaks, it can be just someone bringing a tempest knife to the level.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 17:12, 2 May 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

It's not. I removed that edit. James Haydon (talk) 20:09, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Because they can just be put on the actual DLC page. And even then I'm not a fan of having a bunch of twitter links cluttering the page, since they often don't show much information. James Haydon (talk) 19:15, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

A new video that came out recently showed some mysterious looking artifacts in the radiant ravine section. Can we add those on the page? Blu Gy (talk) 21:05, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Quite hard to tell, but ill look closely. James Haydon (talk) 02:52, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Consumables

If you look closely in a certain twitter video, you can see a consumable cube of water with bubbles in it that provides water breathing for a time. Should we add this in consumables?CometDungeons (talk) 14:21, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

That is most likely the conduit, which is already added to the list. James Haydon (talk) 02:07, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
No, I know what they’re talking about and I’m almost certain it’s not the conduit. The conduit was on a plinth of some sort and this came out of a chest.--76.169.127.247 20:38, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for backing me up 76.169.127.247! I strongly agree! Also, I would guess that the conduit is probably what caused the large sphere of air. Not to mention the fact that the consumable I saw had an obviously different texture. In addition, it came out of a supply chest, which is physically impossible for an artifact. This also makes sense since it damages aquatic mobs, most likely because it removes water, which is likely something that they need to survive.CometDungeons (talk) 22:17, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay then they are most likely some kind of consumable that grants oxygen. James Haydon (talk) 03:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Mob

There is a whisperer,baby drowned,and a armored drowned(Different).

list of New gear and official names

In the newest video, (here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaqXfoxGvWY), the turtle armor is called nimble turtle armor and turtle shell armor is just turtle armor, coral bow is bubble bow, one of the new skins appears to be a mermaid-like character of some sort, conduit appears to be both an artifact and a consumable, there is harpoon crossbow and harpoon quiver, turtle is a summonanle mob, anchor and golden anchor melee weapons, sparkler weapon and sugar rush bow, cake armor is called sweet tooth armor, and cake cape is shown to be an unlockable.--76.169.127.247 15:57, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

New Mob?

In the most recent video, there is a new Skeleton beside the Sunken Skeleton. It appears in the video between 0:12- 0:13. It is surrounded partially by Sunken Skeletons and the player. The top of its head is a bluish gray. Unlike the Sunken Skeleton, it does not gave as much coral stuck on it. Like the Sunken Skeleton it wields a crossbow rather than a normal bow. It is also bigger than the Sunken Skeleton. Another potentially new mob appears between 0:14-0:15. It appears in the center of the bottom of the screen. In the room the player is in, it appears as being next to the wall on the opposite side of the large chest. The players attacks it. It appears to be a non-alive mob due to how it is not moving, yet the player treats it as a mob. Please triple check these two instances where I think I have seen a new mob. Dour1234 (talk) 10:16, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Where is the blueish gray skeleton and non alive mob? You mean the twitter one or teh youtube? 105.225.210.9 17:39, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
They are in the youtube video. However, the non-alive mob turned out to be the Kelp Whisperer. The bluish gray skeleton is first seen at 0:12-0:13. Dour1234 (talk) 10:50, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay can you make a conjecture name for it? James Haydon (talk) 21:14, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
I think that the bluesh gray skeleton could be a armored variant of the sunken skeleton--Flames of the nether (talk) 13:47, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, it looks like an Armored Sunken Skeleton. Blu Gy (talk) 13:49, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Also, if you look back, you can also see a drowned with more kelp "hair" and with a glowing trident that is pink, and another that looks like it has armor on it as well as a glowing trident as well, but yellow. I think those might be the real armored drowned, while the one in the artwork may be a hydromancer, considering that the necromancer in the minecraft live trailer was most likely a placeholder due to early development, as were the whispering spear tridents. I might have to look closer to see what it was really. Blu Gy (talk) 16:57, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay, at least the Dungeons Diaries episode is higher resolution than those Twitter videos will ever be. James Haydon (talk) 16:59, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Darker Green Guardian

Some sort of darker green Guardian appears in the picture of the most recent image of the most recent twitter post. It appears right next to the player, near the center of the image. It appears to be slightly smaller than the regular Guardians that are seen in the upper corner of the image. Dour1234 (talk), 20 May 2021 (UTC)

I respect what you mean, but doesn't that guardian look like it is poisoned?CometDungeons (talk) 00:26, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
I looked a bit more closely at the Guardian and it seems that you are right. If does seem to be inflicted with something by the player. Dour1234 (talk), 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Actually, It was a Pufferfish that poisoned the Guardian.– Unsigned comment added by 24.7.14.222 (talk) at 15:18, 21 May 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Animation, not a new mob

I just re watched the last video and the most recent video and found out the the grayish Sunken Skeleton variant is actually the animation of the Skeleton’s death. The same is true for the larger gray Drowned variant. It probably was a glitch that some of them looked like that when they were alive. After all, it was only in that one video and no other one. This also means that the Sunken Summoner is in fact the Armored Drowned. Dour1234 (talk), 24 May 2021 (UTC)
