If you spawn the Ancient guardian so that you don't trigger the cutscene, then damage him with a ranged weapon, he becomes completley invisible unless he is doing his laser eye attack, as then it shows his eye and the laser. i found this out while trying to defeat him without triggering the cutscene. somebody else con try this if you don't believe me, but i am 99% sure it wasn't a one-off. Ender Guardian

Regarding this Guardian, while we do know that it is a boss, I believe that the name Ender Guardian would suit it much better than the name Corrupted Guardian. The reason I propose this is because Minecraft tends to focus on appearances and the Corrupted Guardian has an End Like appearance. Now you could argue that Corruption in Minecraft is the same as the End, but Ender feels more like a name they would give it. Many of the boss mobs in the past had an End like appearance, but it was never said outright that they were corrupted. Dour1234

All mobs that were created/corrupted by the Orb of Dominance had a purple/pink theme, so no. James Haydon (talk) 16:21, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
well it doesn't say anything about the orb of dominance corrupting it like it did with the reveal articles for the past dlcs and the next dlc is the end dlc so I think it is likely. (plus ender guardian just sounds cool)– Unsigned comment added by 76.169.127.247 (talk) at 16:32, 10 May 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Well that article is just a broad concept article, so it doesn't go into the details about the DLC and its story. James Haydon (talk) 16:34, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
However, none of them actually had the name Corrupted in their name. While I admit that it is unlikely that it is even going to be called the Ender Guardian, it is a more likely name than Corrupted Guardian. Maybe we can compromise and rename it to Dominated Guardian as after all a Shard is dominance dominated it. However, I also don’t think that this DLC has anything to do with the Shards of the orb. If you read the description, it has more to do with a map leading somewhere than a shard. Given that we don’t know anything at all, I stand by my point that it should be called the Dominated Guardian as it was likely dominated before the orb shattered as the map belonged to the Arch-Illager. Dour1234
Well still, the purple color of the guardian implies that it has something to do with the orb of dominance. Also that quote that we found in the files was datamined from an much older version of the game, so it's hard to tell if it's going to be accurate. James Haydon (talk) 16:40, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Well, the Orb of Dominance is actually the Heart of Ender, so maybe we should call it the Dominated Guardian as it does mean the same thing as Corrupted, but is specific to the Orb of Dominance. Dour1234
Okay then you have a point there. James Haydon (talk) 16:47, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
I propose that we rename the Dominated Guardian again to Dominated Elder Guardian. Dour1234
The Orb of Dominance is in that dlc, it was confirmed in the announcement that popped on the Nintendo switch.– Unsigned comment added by 76.169.127.247 (talk) at 21:27, 10 May 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
Okay but did they give the guardian boss a name? James Haydon (talk) 21:28, 10 May 2021

I'm from the future, and here to confirm it's called the Ancient Guardian Minecraft Dungeons Hidden Depths (talk) 14:50, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

What happened to Dominated Guardian page? 105.225.91.157 10:01, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Some person named Dour1234 (talkcontribslogsblock log) moved it to MCD:Dominated Elder Guardian. Their argument is that a regular Guardian can't grow to that size, only Elder Guardians can. James Haydon (talk) 13:00, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Rename

In Mojang’s most recent post, they refer to Guardians and Elder Guardians as the “fierce protectors of their corrupted master.” The word choice here may not be the official name of the Hidden Depths DLC main boss, but the name “Corrupted Master” is the closest name we have to an actual name of the main boss. After all, this name is coming from Mojang themselves, so I think that it is good enough for a placeholder name. I propose that we rename the unofficial “Dominated Elder Guardian” and call this page “Corrupted Master.” Dour1234 (talk), 12 May 2021 (UTC)

By master they mean a much more powerful guardian, not an actual master. So it's probably best to keep the guardian in the name. James Haydon (talk) 00:54, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
I was only thinking that the placeholder title of the page should be “Corrupted Master” because it is in an official post. I am pretty sure it would be obvious that it means a much powerful Guardian as the mob is literally on the official cover art. Dour1234 (talk), 12 May 2021 (UTC)
