Template:Infobox

The tower is a mission in Minecraft Dungeons added with the first seasonal adventure, cloudy climb. It has a varying number of floors, which scale in difficulty. At the end of each floor the hero may pick from five pieces of gear or simply choose to get an extra enchantment point. Due to technical limitations, it is singleplayer-only.[1]

Unlocking

The tower is unlocked after the hero completes the squid coast mission for the first time. The tower is accessible in a tower structure next to the mission select table within the camp. Its icon on the mission select map will appear above the squid coast and the adventure hub.

Appearance

Cloudy Climb

The tower consists of a varying number of different floors. The inside of each floor is built with unique environments from various locations on each floor, as well as floors that have a similar aesthetic to the outside of the tower. Its exterior looks like a large temple or mansion, with lots of pillars and balconies. The exterior is mostly made of white stone, with acacia plank roofs, and is decorated with iron, emeralds, and acacia wood.

Luminous Night

The tower has been shrouded in night and fog at the time of the luminous night. However strange it seems, the luminous night revealed much of the nature of the tower, including unveiling countless luminous symbols that were invisible to the heroes during the day. Though their origin is unknown, these luminous symbols infest both the inside and the outside of the tower and can appear in many shapes and forms.

Story

THE TOWER – The Tower appeared mysteriously one day, as if it had somehow always existed and simply emerged from the clouds when it wanted to be found. An even stranger creature beckons you to enter and take on the challenges inside.

What awaits at the top? Only those who have bested the bosses within and survived the challenges can tell you. Will you join these elite heroes at the top of the Tower?

You know what they say, if you don't succeed at first try again... and again, and again.

In-game story

Objectives

In the tower, the order of the objectives changes with each tower layout, which itself changes every two weeks. Though the order of floors is random, there are always three boss fights and the following floors are in every layout of the tower:

FLOOR # OF #.
1. EMPTY FLOOR.
FLOOR # OF #.
2. COMBAT FLOOR.
FLOOR # OF #.
3. MERCHANT FLOOR
FLOOR # OF #.
4. BOSS FLOOR

Tropical fish is a food item that cannot be cooked.

Obtaining
Fishing
Tropical fish can be obtained from fishing. The wait time of one being caught is decreased with the Lure enchantment and the chance of one being caught is slightly decreased with the Luck of the Sea enchantment (named as such because it increases treasure, not fish).

Tropical fish cannot be caught when fishing in jungle biome and variants.bedrock
<!--1-6 exp-->

Mob drops
Guardians and elder guardians have a 2.5% chance of dropping a random fish upon death. This has a 2% chance of being tropical fish. The chance of getting the fish drop can be increased by 1% per level of Looting, but the type of fish is not affected.

Tropical fish always drop 1 tropical fish in its item form when killed. This drop is not affected by Looting.

Usage
Food
Tropical fish restores 1 hunger and 0.2 saturation.

Trading
Expert-level fisherman villagers have a 1 chance to buy a single tropical fish for one emerald.bedrock

Expert-level fisherman villagers always offer to buy 6 tropical fish for an emerald.java

Wolves
Bedrock, tropical fish can be used to feed wolves, healing them by . However, unlike other wolf food, tropical fish cannot be used to breed or speed up the growth of baby wolves. Tropical fish can be fed only to a wolf that is not at full health.

An amethyst shard is a crystal obtained from mining a fully grown amethyst cluster or can be obtained from chests in ancient cities.

Obtaining
Mining
An amethyst cluster mined using a non-Silk Touch, non-Fortune pickaxe drops 4 amethyst shards. When mined using any other tool, item or mechanism (such as explosions or pistons) it drops 2 shards. The maximum amount of amethyst shards dropped can be increased with Fortune. Fortune I gives a 1 chance for eight shards, averaging 5.33 shards; Fortune II gives a 25% chance (each) to give eight or 12 shards, averaging 7 shards, and Fortune III gives a 20% chance (each) to give 8, 12, or 16 shards, averaging 8.8 shards.

If the amethyst cluster in any of its growth stages is mined using a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch, it drops itself rather than amethyst shards.

Allay duplication
If an amethyst shard is given to an allay that is currently dancing to an active jukebox, the allay emits heart particles, consumes the amethyst shard and duplicates into another allay. After this, there is a 5 minute cool down until both allays can be duplicated like this again.
