Effects, otherwise known as Buffs, are a series of effects in Minecraft Dungeons that affect the players in either a positive or a negative way.
Shown on the Heads-up display and accompanied with visual effects on the bearer, effects can be received from food, potions, certain enchantments, and certain mobs.
