The Snareling is a hostile mob found in the Echoing Void DLC. It acts similarly to the Spider. They have the lowest health of the 3 types of Enderling.
Appearance
The Snareling is a tall mob that resembles the normal Enderman in body shape but instead of purple, it possesses lime-green eyes that position a bit upwards on its face. On its chest is what appears to be a glowing open hole and on its back is a large cube-like core which is used to store and launch sticky goo at players. It also possesses long sickle-like arms that it uses to slash at snared prey and are longer than its small legs.

Behavior
The Snareling has two attacks. It behaves like The End counterpart of the Spider.
- Snare Trap
The Snareling spits a giant splat of end goo at the player. If they are hit by it, they are stuck in place for a few seconds, similarly to a cobweb.
- Windmill Arms
If a player is trapped in the Snareling’s goo, all nearby Snarelings will teleport next to that player and start hitting them repeatedly with their arms.
The Swarm
The arena where The Swarm is summoned and battled at.
The Swarm is the ancient variant of the Snareling encountered during Ancient Hunts with an unknown offering. The ancient resides within a End Wilds-themed arena, has 16 Endermites with the enchantment Thorns and possesses, at minimum, the following enchantments:
Upon defeating The Swarm, a gilded variant of an item will drop as a reward.

1.10.2.0Tropical fish also have assigned names that can be seen after capture. In Java Edition, the smaller text under the item name is displayed showing the fish name, similar to the text that displays enchantments under enchanted items. In Bedrock Edition, the item name is displayed showing "Bucket of <fish name>". Their colors are mostly named according to the colored block names, though with a few exceptions:
The base color comes first, and if the pattern color is different, it comes after that. Lastly, the fish bucket is given a name according to the shape and pattern of the fish:
Some tropical fish don't follow the normal naming system, and instead, reference real-life fish species. Apart from these names, these types of fish aren't different from regular tropical fish in terms of design or behavior. These varieties are:

Trivia
- On a Twitter post featuring a close up of the Snareling, Laura De Llorens, one of the developers, states that the Snareling in the Echoing Void DLC is her favorite mob in the game.[3]
- Snarelings are seen to have a Novelty animation where they stand on their long arms and swing their short legs back and forth.
- The Lime-Eyes are most likely a reference to the original design of the enderman, in which it possessed Lime-Eyes, rather than purple.
