A snareling is a hostile Enderling that can be found within the echoing void DLC of Minecraft Dungeons.
Appearance[]
Due to being a subspecies of endermen, snarelings bare a certain resemblance to them. Despite this, however, snarelings possessed a few differences of their own. The most notable difference was that snarelings had a bright yellow sack extending from their backs.[1] The rest of their appearance was also disproportionately shaped. In addition. their features were yellow rather than purple. Snarelings dragged their long arms on the ground, which they used to attack upon ensnaring their targets.
Lore[]
There were many different subspecies of endermen that resided within the End, and it did not take the Heroes long to meet them. These subspecies were collectively known as enderlings. Snarelings were accounted as being especially dangerous enderlings due to their arachnid affiliation. Upon encountering a hero, they would not hesitate to attempt to catch them within their snareling goop. Once their prey was caught, they summoned their companions before immediately teleporting over to binge strike their their prey. The Heroes eventually prevailed against them, making their way to the Broken Citadel, where they put a final end to the Orb of Dominance once and for all.[2]
Spawning[]
Behavior[]
Snarelings behave like an End counterpart to spiders. They have the lowest health of all enderlings, and their attacks do repeated damage. Snarelings have four behaviors:
- Novelty
Snarelings stand on their long arms and swing their short legs back and forth.
- Teleport
Snarelings can teleport away when the hero comes too close, if they are not currently afflicted with slowness.
- Attack
Snarelings can lob snareling goop across a distance to ensnare a target, sticking them in place for a few seconds and inflicting slowness upon them.
- Melee attack
Snarelings teleport to any hero that is trapped within snareling goop, attacking them with their arms. This behavior causes multiple snarelings to attack.
Snareling goop[]
A snareling goop is a cobweb-like material that can be found within the Echoing Void DLC of Minecraft Dungeons.
Appearance[]
Snareling goop was a bright yellow material that was similar to cobwebs,[3] in which they temporarily slowed targets down.
Lore[]
Snareling goop was a material that was produced by snarelings from the bright yellow sacks extending from their backs. When a snareling's chest opened up, snareling goop was flung through at their prey in order to entrap them.[4]
