Fired arrows sometimes gain the piercing effect, which allows them to fly through multiple mobs.

In-game description

Piercing is an enchantment that can be found within the various ranged weapons of Minecraft Dungeons.

Tiers[]

Tier Effect Cost
I Every 3rd arrow 1 Enchantment Point
II Every 2nd arrow 2 Enchantment Points
III Every arrow 3 Enchantment Points

Usage[]

Any ranged weapon enchanted with Piercing allows the shot arrow to pierce through mobs. The number of shots required for the piercing effect to activate decreases with each tier, at the maximum tier every arrow shot will pierce.

Arrows that have already pierced enemies can still trigger the Ricochet and Chain Reaction enchantments if they hit additional enemies. Once an arrow Richochets, it no longer Pierces. It's difficult to tell if the original arrow continues Piercing after it triggers a Chain Reaction, but the spawned arrows do not pierce. Also, arrows do not target mobs, like the original game's enchantment, Piercing.
