Phantoms are summoned only when a hero dies in multiplayer. Unlike their default counterparts, phantoms are immune to all attacks and can be stopped only by reviving all defeated heroes and ending the night status.
Unlike their default counterparts, phantoms swoop to heroes vertically instead of horizontally. They first start with one hero, then groups of them swoop on other heroes until all heroes are killed, or until the night ends due to all killed heroes being revived. The first bite deals 8% of the player's HP, 10% for the 2nd bite, 12% for the 3rd, and so on and the damage keeps increasing over time.
