This page describes content that is a part of the Echoing Void DLC.

The Endersent is a miniboss mob added in the Echoing Void DLC.

Appearance

The Endersent is a tall mob that superficially resembles the normal Enderman but with a few differences, them being its long forehead, having elbows, and possessing club-like hands that resemble large, blunt hammers.

Spawning

Behavior

The Endersent has four attacks.

Basic attack

The Endersent smashes the hero with it’s club-like hands, dealing massive damage.

Deadly escape

The Endersent smashes the ground with both of it’s hands (which deals more damage then most mobs including the creeper) then teleports away, summoning 1 to 4 watchlings. After a moment, the Endersent teleports back to where it originally spawned.

Teleport out ranged

The Endersent occasionally will raise its arm at a random hero or summoned mob and teleport away. This behavior is immediately followed by teleport in ranged.

Teleport in ranged

The Endersent appears basically on top of whatever it was pointing at and quickly smashes it with both arms. Endersent can use this attack multiple times. Fortunately, this attack can be avoided.[1]

Eyesent

The Eyesent [unofficial name] are a group of six enchanted Endersent that possess an Eye of Ender on their chest. They spawn in various locations across the Overworld as miniboss mobs. Heroes must defeat them to obtain the Eyes of Ender necessary to access the End dimension.

Unlike any other mob before it, each individual Eyesent can only spawn once in a playthrough. If journeying to an Eyesent Arena after collecting the Eyes of Ender from each Eyesent, instead of an Eyesent residing there, just a regular Endersent with no Eyes of Ender on its chest spawns.

On each path leading to an Eyesent Arena, there are 1-2 Endermen mini-bosses that spawn in small ambushes. Raid Captains also spawn commonly near the arenas if heroes have not completed the level the respective Eyesent resides in.

Appearance

These Endersent are called Eyesent and are encountered in the Overworld. Similar to the regular Endersent, the Eyesent possess long foreheads, elbows, and large club-like hands. The Eyesent are all enchanted and have an Eye of Ender on the chest that is needed to travel to The End.

Trivia

  • Original conjecture render was made by @coblocks on Twitter.[3]
  • The Endersent is the first Dungeons-exclusive mob in the DLC to have their name revealed.
  • In the preview image for Broken Citadel on the menu, two Endersents can be seen among with some Blastlings. However, only a single Endersent spawn in the level. There is no way to have two of them.
  • In a teaser where a hero is fighting an Endersent, the captions read: "One savage, one ravenous, one blight. One reaping, one binding and one spiked." This was a reference to their enchantments and corresponding names, as they appear enchanted in the video and upon being added into the game.
  • When spawned, the Enderman Boss soundtrack[4] plays.
  • The Endersent has some similarity with the Redstone Monstrosity.
    • Both are stronger variants of there weaker counterpart (As in, the Endersent is a stronger variant of the Enderman while the Redstone Monstrosity stronger variant of the Redstone Golem).
    • Both only spawn one in a single level.
    • Both summon minions where there weaker counterparts can't.
    • Both are very slow in speed where there weaker counterparts are quick.
