This article is about the powerful mob within Minecraft Dungeons. For the neutral mob within Minecraft, see Enderman.

ENDERMAN – Endermen are notorious for teleporting away after taking damage. Whether you choose a melee or ranged approach, make sure to stand close to a wall so they can't apparate behind you. Prepare for a tricky fight!

Guide to Minecraft Dungeons:
A Handbook for Heroes

An enderman is a powerful ender mob that can be found within the various missions of Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearance[]

Endermen in Minecraft Dungeons look mostly the same as in the original Minecraft game, with the only difference being that their eyes are brighter and have glowing white pupils instead of purple pupils.

Spawning[]

Behavior[]

Endermen cannot teleport inside walls. They can be hit with arrows, unlike in the original Minecraft game. They are also immune to water damage and do not teleport away when inside it. When spawned, the screen gets distorted and a music soundtrack is played.

Angry

Endermen attack only if they are attacked first, the hero comes too close, or the hero looks directly at them for too long.

Basic attack

Endermen swipe an arm at the hero, dealing damage.

Strong attack

Endermen teleport away after taking damage, and can damage heroes heavily.

Unleash

Endermen can also can hide within teleportation and not appear right away.

Death animation

Defeated endermen raise their arms and open their mouth to scream as they fade away.

Health[]

Endermen have 2500 HP in the code. On Default I, all mobs have 9.6% health and 12% damage of what is set in the code.

A pitcher pod is an ancient bulbous seed that has a chance to be dropped by sniffers when they finish digging. It is the seed for Pitcher Plants.

Obtaining
Sniffers occasionally bury their nose in the ground and start digging. Once the sniffer has finished digging, one pitcher pod has a chance to be dropped on the floor as an item.

Sniffers can only dig for pitcher pods in the following blocks:
*Dirt
*Grass Block
*Podzol
*Coarse Dirt
*Rooted Dirt
*Moss Block
*Mud
*Muddy Mangrove Roots
They cannot dig for pitcher pods on mycelium.

Usage
Pitcher Crop
Pitcher pods can be placed on farmland by using, where they grow through three stages as a pitcher crop.

Breaking the crop before it matures drops the pitcher pod, while breaking the final stage produces a pitcher plant and does not yield the pod. Pitcher crops break if pushed by a piston or if their supporting farmland breaks or turns to dirt (i.e. by being trampled), dropping their usual drops.

Farmer villagers can plant pitcher pods, but cannot harvest them once they have fully grown.

Feeding
Pitcher pods can be used to breed chickens and reduce the remaining growth duration of and chicks by 10%.

Taming
Pitcher pods can be used to tame parrots.

Tropical fish is a food item that cannot be cooked.

Obtaining
Fishing
Tropical fish can be obtained from fishing. The wait time of one being caught is decreased with the Lure enchantment and the chance of one being caught is slightly decreased with the Luck of the Sea enchantment (named as such because it increases treasure, not fish).

Tropical fish cannot be caught when fishing in jungle biome and variants.bedrock
<!--1-6 exp-->

Mob drops
Guardians and elder guardians have a 2.5% chance of dropping a random fish upon death. This has a 2% chance of being tropical fish. The chance of getting the fish drop can be increased by 1% per level of Looting, but the type of fish is not affected.

Tropical fish always drop 1 tropical fish in its item form when killed. This drop is not affected by Looting.

Usage
Food
Tropical fish restores 1 hunger and 0.2 saturation.

Trading
Expert-level fisherman villagers have a 1 chance to buy a single tropical fish for one emerald.bedrock

Expert-level fisherman villagers always offer to buy 6 tropical fish for an emerald.java

Wolves
Bedrock, tropical fish can be used to feed wolves, healing them by . However, unlike other wolf food, tropical fish cannot be used to breed or speed up the growth of baby wolves. Tropical fish can be fed only to a wolf that is not at full health.
