An enderman is a mini boss in Minecraft Dungeons that has the ability to teleport. When spawned, the screen gets distorted and a music soundtrack is played.

Spawning

The enderman spawns in Default difficulty as a mini-boss in the Soggy Swamp, Desert Temple, Dingy Jungle, Overgrown Temple, Warped Forest, The Stronghold, End Wilds, and Broken Citadel. In Adventure difficulty, it spawns sometimes in the Creeper Woods, Cacti Canyon, Redstone Mines, Obsidian Pinnacle, and the Pumpkin Pastures. In Apocalypse, it can spawn sometimes in the Fiery Forge, Highblock Halls, and the Nether Fortress. It can also appear in Ancient Hunts.

Appearance

The enderman in Minecraft Dungeons looks mostly the same as in the base game, with the only difference being its eyes. The eyes have glowing white pupils instead of purple, and its eyes are also brighter than its base game counterpart.

Behavior

Endermen teleport away after taking damage, and can damage heroes heavily. They also can hide within teleportation and not appear right away. They cannot teleport inside walls. An Enderman attacks only if attacked first, if the hero comes too close, or if the hero looks directly at it for too long. A defeated enderman does not drop its body. Instead, it raises its arms and opens its mouth to scream its death sound as it fades away.

Basic attack

This attack is a two-hit combination consisting of two side swings.

Strong attack

This attack is a three-hit combination a downward attack using both of its arms.

Drinks are a narrow class of consumable items that can be ingested by the player in an extremely similar manner to food. However, drinks are not encountered quite as commonly as food is, and they are not nearly as integral to survival gameplay. Drinks can generally be distinguished from food from the sounds they make upon consumption, the lack of particles emitted by them, and the fact that they leave behind an empty container after consumption. They also do not require the hunger bar to be depleted, and do not affect hunger or saturation values upon use (with the exception of honey bottles).

Drinks are drunk by holding use item while having the drink item selected in the hotbar or in the off hand.

Trivia

 • In Minecraft Dungeons, endermen can be hit with arrows, unlike in normal Minecraft. They are also immune to water damage and do not teleport away when inside it.
 • In the arcade version of the game, the enderman is a main boss.
