In-game description

The enchantsmith is an unused merchant in Minecraft Dungeons that was added into the game files alongside the Echoing Void DLC, but was never added into the game.

Appearance[]

The Enchantsmith is a merchant similar in looks to a librarian but instead of one book, it possesses three books atop its head, one blue, one red, and one brown. It wears a red robe with torn bottom ends, sleeves, and a cape, and a blue undershirt with gold rims around the sleeves and three yellow buttons. It also wears a gold belt and a monocle akin to a cartographer.

This merchant charges gold to change a random enchantment on weapons and armor.

1.10.2.0The enchanter merchant has been added into the game files.
August 14, 2021A reddit user found the game files for the enchanter merchant and modded it back into the game, revealing that the official in-game name for the NPC is the enchantsmith. In addition, an unused non hostile Chicken (mob) was seen next to the enchantsmith’s camp stall.[1]

  • In the game files, the enchantsmith is referred to internally as the EnchanterMerchant.
  • The enchantsmith has a pet chicken seen next to its camp stall.
