Note: Enchanter enchanting render

Enchanters are illagers and hostile mobs that enchant other hostile mobs making them stronger and more dangerous, found in many levels in Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearance

Enchanters are magical illagers that have the ability to enchant other mobs to make them stronger. They are seen wearing a wine-colored robe, similar to the evoker, but with more prominent gold stripes, diamond buttons on its shoulders and gold lines near the end of its sleeves, a turban-like hat with a diamond on it, and a cape with a golden outline at its end. It carries a tome in which it uses it to enchant nearby mobs and control villagers in their hostage and slave operations. It closes its hands like the Evoker and Illusioner when idle.

Spawning

Behavior

Enchanters enchant other hostile mobs buffing many of their stats. They shoot a magical beam to link one mob at a time, ending up being able to enchant up to two mobs at a time. Both mobs involved in the enchantment must be alive and near each other for the enchantment to be sustained; if the Enchanter is killed or if the enchanted mob goes too far away from the Enchanter, the enchantment ends and the mob returns to normal. If the player gets too close to one, it hits with its book, dealing minor damage.

 • Although Enchanters are hostile mobs, they cannot enchant each other, but they can spawn enchanted themselves as well.
 • Enchanters can enchant Geomancers, where it can double the Bomb's damage. This also applies to the Iceologers ice chunks. [needs testing]
 • Enchanters have no stunned animations.
 • Unlike the Arch-Illager, the Enchanter can only enchant two mobs at a time.

Mushroom stew is a food item.

Obtaining
Harvesting
Mushroom stew can be obtained by “milking” a mooshroom with an empty bowl. This is accomplished by using a bowl on a mooshroom. The bowl gets replaced by the mushroom stew item. There is no cooldown for doing so.

If a stack of more than one bowl is used on a mooshroom, only one bowl is consumed, and the mushroom stew goes into an empty inventory slot, or is dropped if the player's inventory is full.

Usage
To eat mushroom stew, press and hold use while it is selected in the hotbar. Eating one restores 6 hunger and 7.2 hunger
saturation.

The bowl is returned to the player empty after the mushroom stew has been eaten, and can be reused to craft more, similarly to rabbit stew and beetroot soup.

Coal is a mineral item mainly obtained from coal ore. It is primarily used for crafting torches and campfires, as well as fuel.

Obtaining
Chest loot
Coal Ore#Natural generation
coal

Mining
Coal ore are mined using a pickaxe and drops 1 piece of coal. If the pickaxe is enchanted with Fortune, it may drop an extra piece per level of Fortune, up to a maximum of 4 with Fortune III.

Mob loot
Wither skeletons have a 1 chance of dropping a single coal upon death. The maximum amount of coal is increased by 1 per level of Looting. The chance of a wither skeleton not dropping any coal can be found using the formula <code>2 / (Looting Level + 3)</code>. For example, Looting III gives a 1 chance of not dropping any coal. All other amounts have an equal chance of occurring.

Smelting
Usage
Crafting ingredient
Coal

Fuel
When used in a furnace as a fuel, a piece of coal lasts 80 seconds (smelting up to 8 items), like charcoal. Coal used as fuel lasts more than 5 times longer than wood planks or wood logs used as fuel, being more efficient than any other use of wood for smelting je, but outstripped by wooden slabs be.

Coal and charcoal are also the only fuels accepted by furnace minecarts. They provide approximately four minutes of transit each.

Trading
Novice-level fisherman villagers have a 50% chance to buy 10 coal for one emerald.

java, novice-level armorer and toolsmith villagers have a 40% chance of offering to buy 15 coal for one emerald. Novice-level weaponsmith villagers and apprentice-level butcher villagers have 2 chance of offering to buy 15 coal for one emerald.

bedrock, novice-level armorer, toolsmith, and weaponsmith villagers and apprentice-level butcher villagers buy 15 coal for one emerald.

Trades that involve coal cannot be substituted by charcoal.

Tropical fish is a food item that cannot be cooked.

Obtaining
Fishing
Tropical fish can be obtained from fishing. The wait time of one being caught is decreased with the Lure enchantment and the chance of one being caught is slightly decreased with the Luck of the Sea enchantment (named as such because it increases treasure, not fish).

Tropical fish cannot be caught when fishing in jungle biome and variants.bedrock
<!--1-6 exp-->

Mob drops
Guardians and elder guardians have a 2.5% chance of dropping a random fish upon death. This has a 2% chance of being tropical fish. The chance of getting the fish drop can be increased by 1% per level of Looting, but the type of fish is not affected.

Tropical fish always drop 1 tropical fish in its item form when killed. This drop is not affected by Looting.

Usage
Food
Tropical fish restores 1 hunger and 0.2 saturation.

Trading
Expert-level fisherman villagers have a 1 chance to buy a single tropical fish for one emerald.bedrock

Expert-level fisherman villagers always offer to buy 6 tropical fish for an emerald.java

Wolves
Bedrock, tropical fish can be used to feed wolves, healing them by . However, unlike other wolf food, tropical fish cannot be used to breed or speed up the growth of baby wolves. Tropical fish can be fed only to a wolf that is not at full health.
