Hostile

The Drowned Necromancer is a marine variant of the necromancer and miniboss found in the Hidden Depths DLC for Minecraft Dungeons. It is capable of summoning Drowned and attacking via lightning trident strikes.

Spawning[]

Appearance[]

The Drowned Necromancer is a large Drowned dressed in an outfit similar to a Necromancer. It wears a dark-blue hood fitted with two gold accents that resemble a crown and large shoulder pads with torn edges and gold rims, and on the back, a long blue cape with torn edges. Under its hood, it wears torn purple clothes and various gold accents like a belt and armbands. It holds a unique staff, that resembles a trident but instead is black, has a blue orb on between the spikes, and having light blue tips on the spikes.

Behavior[]

Drowned Necromancers have three attacks that it uses to fend off players.

Hydromancy

The drowned necromancer summons drowned, trident drowned and their armored variants to assist it. It usually summons about 2 drowned at a time.

Trident Fumes

The drowned necromancer shoots several steam projectiles at the player, dealing a small amount of damage on impact.

Neptune’s Wrath

The drowned necromancer will wave its trident in the water, summoning lightning in random places (marked by a purple circle), then striking that area with lightning. This is it’s most dangerous attack, though it is easily avoidable.

Trivia[]

  • The Drowned Necromancer is the only DLC miniboss that doesn’t appear as a boss.
  • The Drowned Necromancer, much like its land-based counterpart has a rare idle animation in which it throws it's trident staff upwards, then catches it then poses afterwards.
