That's a good question, but as far as I know no one really knows the answer to that.

  • Hi NinjaDogDB,

I noticed you have been adding console button icons to articles (such as the A icon). While I do think this is a good idea, I am wondering if you could possibly use smaller, icon-sized version of these images for this purpose, instead of a scaled-down 1024x1024 version. The reason is, because the image is so large, it will begin showing up as the thumbnail image for many of the articles in which it is used (when viewing a list of articles in categories, for example). The Fandom system takes the first large image it encounters in an article, and uses that one as the thumbnail for that particular article. If all other images in an article are smaller than 1024x1024, or if no other images appear on that article before the button icon, the button image will be used as the thumbnail. By making the button images icon-sized, it will ensure that a more appropriate image will likely be chosen as the article's thumbnail.

Okay, I'll downsize the images to 16 pixels.

    • I was thinking about uploading a different version of the Playstation X button image since the current one kinda blends in and is hard to see. However, because the current PlaystationX image is an svg file I can't change it to png. I tried converting the png file I found to replace it to a svg file, but when I did that and tried uploading it to replace the current one the image was empty. The converting process deleted the image probably because it was too small. I'm thinking about adding a separate png image for the Playstation X button and replacing the svg version in the template with the png version instead. Is this alright because I can't think of any other way to do this as I lack the required programs and knowledge to try converting the png to svg again.

    • I think replacing the current image with a PNG should be fine. One thing I did happen to notice is that the X and Y images you used earlier should ideally have transparent backgrounds (Xbox Y Button and Xbox X Button). If you'd like, I can apply transparency to these when I get the chance, unless you already know how to do it. If you're interested in that kind of thing, I would recommend Paint 3D. You may already have it on your computer, as it comes pre-installed on many new windows PCs.

Edit: I forgot to mention, Paint 3D is also free! SmileySmall

  • I added a request to nominate another user for Rollback. If you may give your opinion on his nomination that would be great. Intellicraft (talk) 17:53, February 18, 2019 (UTC).

I reverted your edits because you had added duplicate links. What that means is you linked to the same articles multiple times. It's best not to add duplicate links as it isn't necessary, so that's why I reverted your edits. I know you were doing your edit in good faith, and you didn't know. I apologize for not telling you this before as I had forgotten to do so. Just keep what I told you in mind as you continue to edit articles and help the wiki.

Am I correct that you were referring to Java Edition Version History? I have re-added a bunch of the information that was previously removed. So, feel free to continue adding to it. SmileySmall
