Hey AzCoy, Im gonna be semi active on the wiki for now, but there was some kind of problem to be logging on discord, so I need to do you me a favor regarding about messaging a discord user. I need you to respond to me first, as I fear that there might be someone who might impersonate you and take advantage.
I have promote my minecraft movie that i am working with.
I want to know if i can tell the people for some help for this minecraft movie. Because its ALOT of work and I want it to be finished for this month or a bit later, but i can't do it alone so i would post a URL page that there people can see every thing about this movie and including a helping page that there they could help me. In that page it would be (Story, new info about the movie,music, teasers and a page they could help me) It is ok to me post this?
Here is the link of the page you can frecuently check it out. It would be a page that it would obey all the rules of fandom (A secure page). Not a fandom page.
Thanks! Wish you did understand, i do not a have a really good english, (I am mexican) :D
@Abdi08 Just to clarify:
Your movie-related thread is perfectly acceptable to post in the wiki's discussion area. As a Minecraft-related fan project, it certainly falls within the bounds of an "on-topic" discussion, so you're not limited to only post stuff like that in your profile or personal blog.
However, AZCoy7 is right about only posting something one time. You posted at least three separate discussion threads about your movie - you should have limited it to one thread. Also, if you think something you're going to post could be interpreted as "advertising" you do need to get permission from an administrator first. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 13:50, August 4, 2020 (UTC)
I wouldn't say mine or your response was better than the other, and why would that matter? Besides, we are "clarifying" different things.
You are telling the user not to post the same thing more than once.
I wanted to make sure this user didn't mistakenly think that they aren't supposed to post things like their Minecraft movie post in Discussions , since stuff like that is allowed.
There's no need to make a competition out of who has a better response - the end goal of our job as administrators is to make it clear for users what is and is not allowed. The only thing that matters is whether they have a better understanding after we communicate with them. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 10:25, August 7, 2020 (UTC)
