- This article is about the Lapis Lazuli dye. For the block, see Lapis Lazuli (Block). For the ore, see Lapis Lazuli (Ore).
Lapis Lazuli is a dye obtained by mining Lapis Lazuli ore. Lapis Lazuli is mined in a manner similar to Coal and Diamond, it can be used straight away without being smelted. If used to fill up a crafting grid, it can be used to make the Lapis Lazuli block. Lapis Lazuli has the same rarity as diamond, but it is not only found in certain layers, like diamond is. This leads some players to think that lapis lazuli is rarer than diamond.
