This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Java Edition Beta 1.0.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with the Halloween Update (Alpha 1.2.x releases).

Chest		Moving too far away from a chest, or having it blow up, closes the inventory screen.
Leaves		Added leaf decay. Naturally generated leaves will now randomly decay when not near a log block.

Capes	Added capes. At this time the only cape is the original Mojang cape.
