A version of Indev 0.31, also known as in-20100128-2304, was released on January 28, 2010, at 22:31 UTC.[1]
Additions[]
Blocks[]
- Not in Indev house block chest.
- Drops 1-3 diamonds.
- Not in Indev house block chest.
- Drops itself.
- Currently unobtainable without world editors.
- Could only be obtained by inventory editing and was initially invisible in the inventory.[2]
- At some point, this was changed to the animated version as seen when placed in the world.
- A gear's sprite consisted of two parts; the center rod and the animated gear itself.
- When hacked into the game, a gear could be placed anywhere, but would show nothing in its block space and was invisible unless horizontally adjacent to one or more blocks.
- The placed gear would then show a gear sprite on the near side of each of those blocks.
- A placed gear could not be destroyed by mining a block that its gear sprite was shown on, because the placed gear was actually adjacent to that block.
- If the block a gear sprite was shown on was destroyed, the adjacent placed gear would no longer show that sprite.
- Removing all blocks adjacent to a placed gear would remove all of its visible gear sprites, leaving the placed gear invisible.
- Placed gears could not be destroyed directly by the player; attempts to do so would phase through to the block behind it, much like water.
- A placed gear could only be removed by explosions.
- Drops itself.
Items[]
- 1-3 are dropped from coal ore.
- 1-3 are dropped from diamond ore.
- There are 100 of them in the Indev House, but is otherwise unobtainable.
- There are 100 of them in the Indev House, but is otherwise unobtainable.
- New wooden, stone and diamond swords, axes, pickaxes and shovels variants.[3]
- Swords mine 1.5 times faster than by hand.
World generation[]
- Indev House
- Items added to the tool chest.[3]
- Iron sword.
- All 16 new item types.
Gameplay[]
- Pressing B opens the "Crafting" menu.[1]
- Crafting is not fully functional yet[4], with the only available recipe being an apple (in the top left-hand corner box) or more than one apple (one of them must be in the top left-hand corner box) to an arrow.
- Unlike with the inventory, the player can't move while crafting (just like versions newer than Java Edition Alpha v1.0.14_01).
- The maximum item stack size is only 1 in a box of the "Crafting" menu.
Changes[]
Blocks[]
- Iron and gold ore now drop themselves.
- Coal ore drops 1-3 coal.
Items[]
- Right-clicking on a stack picks up or puts down a single item.[1]
- Left-clicking on a stack picks up or puts down the entire stack.[1]
- It does not deposit more items than would create an item stack larger than the maximum stack size.
- The remainder remains hovering at the pointer.
- The player can no longer walk while having a chest open.
- Maximum item stack size changed from 99 to 50 for items in the inventory, and 100 for items inside chests.[3]
- General
World generation[]
- Indev house
- Size of starting item stacks in Indev house chests increased from 99 to 100.[3]
HUD[]
- Fullscreen mode no longer affects GUI's, the Hotbar or displayed text.
- Armor sprites will no longer display in their respective slots even if the level is reloaded.
Fixes[]
From Indev 20091231-2
- Due to the removal of armor sprites from in-game play, it is no longer possible to grab the sprites out.
Bugs[]
- Graphical glitch when game starts.[1]
- Clicking corrects it.
- Pressing a movement key at the same time as opening a chest causes that movement key to get "stuck".
- It is possible to use more than one apple to craft an arrow. (See 1.4 Gameplay for some information).
