(previous image was of 20100114; water generation on floating maps wasn't added until 20100122, and the only way to get water on floating islands beforehand was with the infinite source block, which was added in 20100114)

Changes

Blocks

Water
  • Is now finite.
    • Always drains from highest remove location.
  • Water does not move on the surface it is on.
    • Will not spread out over unfilled water surfaces, if it has an empty space next to it.
    • Will evaporate (23 chance) or copy (13 chance).
  • Flowing water is slightly darker than still water.[verify]

World generation

  • Oceans still have infinite water.

Creative variant

Indev 0

The Creative variant of this version.

A variant of the January 13, 2010, version of Indev 0.31 was released with Creative mode enabled.[2] There are a few bugs with this version due to some Creative mode code that was broken by the time this version came out; for example, blocks are not infinite.

This was one of the few versions from 0.30 to Beta 1.7.3 to get a Creative release, the only other versions being the first and second December 23, 2009, builds of 0.31.
