0.24 Resource Test is a version of Minecraft Classic released in 2009. It was released to test resource gathering.
Additions
Entities
- Are flashing white
- Their texture is the 8 middle pixels of the original side block texture
- Spin around, despawn after some time[verify]

Added survival mode
- Replaces creative mode
- The player can't die yet as there is no health
Changes
The player no longer has creative mode and no infinite blocks.
Blocks now drop themselves when destroyed
- Blocks still break instantly
Removed multiplayer [verify]
Added item stacking
- Items can now stack up to 99[needs in-game testing]
- After 99 types of a certain item has been collected, that item type can no longer be put in the player's inventory
Removed chat[verify]
The player is now in survival mode
- Removed the inventory having all blocks, it can no longer be used by pressing B
- The player is now limited to just the hotbar
- There is no health bar, the player can't die yet[verify]
Humans can no longer be summoned by pressing G
Placing blocks now removes that block by 1
