The Minecraft Wiki has now moved to minecraft.wiki. Here is a brief rundown of the changes we were able to implement in the new wiki:
- A new skin
- Faster load times
- Fewer ads
- Improved search functionality
- Removed age popup
- Reintroduced anonymous editing

The .EXE file for the pre-reupload server version of this server version is currently missing.
This version has been reuploaded at one point in time. While the .JAR file for the pre-reupload server version has been archived, the .EXE file has not, meaning that it is currently lost.

0.2.5 is a server version of Java Edition Alpha released with client version v1.2.3 on November 23, 2010.
Additions
- New server configuration settings
pvp <true/false>(trueby default). If this is set tofalse, players cannot directly attack other players (i.e. by hitting them or shooting them with a bow; things like lava will still damage them).spawn-monsters <true/false>(trueby default). If this is set tofalse, all hostile mobs will be removed and they cannot spawn.spawn-animals <true/false>(trueby default). If this is set tofalse, all passive mobs will be removed and they cannot spawn.
Changes
- Players and mobs on fire in multiplayer now visibly on fire.
- Damage is now correctly given for falling, drowning, and burning.
- Eating food restores health.
- Players can now respawn.
Fixes
- Fixed a block respawning bug in multiplayer.
