1.11 is an upcoming major update to Minecraft with no set release date.
Snapshots are expected to begin before MineCon 2016, but no new features are expected to be revealed until the convention,[1][2] which begins on September 24. Snapshots before then may contain bug fixes and improvements, which may be considered new features.[3]
Planned additions
- Eggs that were removed during the 1.10 snapshots will return, possibly in a future snapshot before MineCon.[4]
Planned changes
- Warnings like "You can only sleep at night" will appear above the hotbar, like "Press [key] to dismount" currently does.[5]
- If a creeper is inflicted with a potion effect, its explosion will cause a lingering effect of the potion.[6]
Unconfirmed features
These features are not confirmed for 1.11, but they were mentioned or showcased by developers during 1.11 development. Main article: Mentioned features
