Template:Food Golden Apples are rare items found in dungeon chests. They can also be attained through crafting red apples and gold blocks together. Eating one completely restores the player's health, which no other food does. They are very hard to find, so they are mostly attained using an inventory editor.

Advantages
- Golden apples restore all of your health.
Disadvantages
- Red apples are impossible to obtain in single player, meaning the only way to acquire one is to find a dungeon chest with a golden apple, and that is also very rare.
- Golden apples are not time or resource efficient to craft; making just one requires 72 gold ingots.
- While cake only restores nine full hearts in total, it is much more time and resource efficient, making it a common choice over golden apples for space efficient healing.
Trivia
- Eating any apple may sometimes protect the consumer from fall damage.[citation needed] Not much is known about this.
- Golden Apples have a 1/125 (.8%) chance of spawning in a Dungeon's chest.
- Although Golden Apples are capable of healing 10 hearts they have to be used before the player has less taken 10 hearts of damage. The greatest amount of damage a player can sustain without dying is 9.5 hearts.
- You cannot convert a Golden Apple back into a Red Apple.
- The seed "AntVenom" has a golden apple in one of its dungeons.
