This article is about the dust. For the block, see Glowstone (Block).
Glowstone Dust is obtained by mining glowstone blocks (only found in the Nether) with a pickaxe.
Uses
When mined properly, each glowstone block yields 2 to 4 glowstone dust that can be reconstituted into a block. A glowstone block, like a jack-o-lantern, is a portable light source brighter than a torch. Believe it or not, glowstone dust has no other crafting uses, but it may be required to craft lanterns in a future update.
