Giants are enormous mobs that were added in the last version of Survival Test. It uses a six times enlarged Zombie model and the sounds of the Player. They are twelve blocks tall. Like Zombies, Giants' only method of attack is to charge into the player. Since Survival Test, Giants have not been used, and they do not spawn naturally. Mods are required to spawn them in more recent versions.
Behavior
Giants (if spawned in the game using mods) are Neutral and do not attack the player unless provoked. They appear to have the same, randomized movement as passive mobs.
Giants use the same skin as zombies (of course scaled up a couple factors in size) and yet show almost none of the same behaviors as them. One thing to bring the two closer would be their attack style, Giants attack by simply ramming the player over and over again as do zombies. It seems as though Giants do not spawn in groups and thus will not back each other up like wolves in the hostile state, or Zombie Pigmen when provoked.
Unlike Zombies, Giants are not set on fire by sunlight, and also do not have any idling sounds. They make the same sound as the player when hit, and drop only 3 XP Orbs upon death.
Bugs
- Giants must be hit in the legs or lower middle part of the body to take damage. Hits from the "belt" up will not injure it.
- If a Giant stands in lava, it can't move.
- In 1.2.5, Similar to Human mobs, which have already been removed, Giants aren't affected by Water.

Trivia
- On multiplayer servers, if the player uses a plugin to look like a giant, they will still be able to go through two block high spaces.
- Despite the mob's enormous size, it cannot break any blocks.
- Also in spite of the Giant's size, it can only jump one block vertically.
- Giants can be considered the least detailed mob. One pixel is roughly the size of a block.
- Giants used to have the most health out of all the Mobs, but since Minecraft 1.2.3 they are on par in health with the Iron Golem and have less health than the Ender Dragon.
- Although not completely proven to be true, it is possible that Giants may spawn Zombie(s) nearby it, this has not been fully tested but there have been strange cases where a Zombie or two spawn near a Giant.
- An Iron Golem will attack a giant, as if it was a hostile mob.
- Though giants have an impressive attack strength of 17, it is very rare that they damage anything as their attack range is badly proportioned to their hitbox.
- In 12w16a you can spawn the giant (while using cheats) as a choice in more world options.
