The Fire Charge is an item that was added in snapshot 12w04a. It is primarily used as ammo for Dispensers but can also be used in a similar fashion to a Flint and Steel; however, the latter function destroys it after one use when in Survival.
Crafting
| Ingredients | Input » Output |
|---|---|
| Blaze Powder + Coal + Gunpowder | Template:Grid/Crafting Table |
Note : In snapshot 12w04a, you can craft this item with 1 coal, 1 gunpowder and 1 blaze powder in any crafting slot, however it has to be regular coal, making it not a renewable resource.
Dispensing
When a Fire Charge is launched from a dispenser, it acts like a Blaze's fireball and lights the area it touches on fire. Dispensers tend to fire the balls up. They are not affected by gravity, so they will continue on a path out of sight forever, or until coming into contact with something. Both the look and behavior exactly match that of Blaze fireballs, so it is highly likely that these are the same or a sub class of the blaze fireballs.

Bugs
- When you right click with the Fireball on a block, the fire created may not render probably according to the block, making it seem to be floating fire.
