About the Colored Bed[]

The colored bed in the newest-version-file is very blur.SteveZihang zh.Patroller Book and Quill 02:39, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

The file is blurry[]

I just wanted to mention, this file is blurry. You might want to change that or revert the file to an older version. The latest version which isn't blurry is the one by Sealbudsman from 06:02 (CEST), 1 April 2017. | violine1101(Talk) 22:06, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Just to clarify, all the sprites are blurry, not only the beds. | violine1101(Talk) 22:09, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Looking at infoboxes and crafting recipes, the sprites can be seen without blurryness. We do not need to reupload the file. The BlobsPaper 00:15, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
I actually do see the blurriness in the info boxes and crafting recipes. Looking through the file history, is it getting progressively worse? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 00:34, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
I would look at Arrow, and compare how crisp is the arrow of decay, which is recent, to the somewhat blurry quality of the arrows which have been there a while. That's what led me to see it starkly. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 00:36, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
It is progressive: by zooming in on each image in Gimp, I see the blur progresses and becomes more strong on sprites towards the bottom of the image. One sees a very faint blurriness along the bottom of (for instance) Light Blue Hardened Concrete starting on the 00:32, April 1, 2017 upload by ItsPlantSeed, which slowly progresses with each upload -- then on the 09:47, April 11, 2017 upload by ItsPlantSeed, blurriness starts to bleed out the top of the block, faint at first, but blurrier and blurrier with each upload.
Majr, is it possible the sprite editor is resizing the image by maybe ×1.01 with each sprite edit, causing very small blurriness along the bottom, that grows over time? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 02:09, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
Since the blur only started, and is only being increased when ItsPlantseed uploads, I would expect there is some browser bug involved. @ItsPlantseed: what browser are you using? MajrTalk

I usually upload files using the Mobile Chrome App. I edit/upload pages and files from my phone in the desktop view. I think; I shouldn't have to upload a pixelated image from a mobile device. - ItsPlantseed ItsPlantseed | Book and Quill 08:49, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
I've just unblurified the file. The only blurry sprites left are a few of the Pocket Edtion/Education Edition sprites which have been added during the last month.
Majr: Your sprite editor is awesome, it makes transferring sprites to the German wiki way easier! Thanks for creating that, must have been an awful lot of work. I'd be glad if you could add an option to download a single sprite though, I already modified the JavaScript on the German wiki to do this, see there. | violine1101(Talk) 14:39, 5 May 2017 (UTC) (edited 14:57, 5 May 2017 (UTC))
You might have just reverted the black bed texture, do you bother to fix it? My changes may blur the file again. :) - ItsPlantseed ItsPlantseed | Book and Quill 17:34, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I just knew I'd forget something.  Done | violine1101(Talk) 17:55, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

Missing Blocks[]

I have found there are missing blocks: sea_lantern, magma (likely more, still looking) --210.176.194.14 02:57, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Animated blocks do not use this sprite sheet, is why. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 04:11, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
More blocks that are not in this sheet: all the red & brown mushroom blocks and Prismarine (also animated)?
FYI, I am using this sprite map on my website and have developed resources for it:
  • I added numbers on the edges to the lines and rows in a copy to the image so that individual items can be easier found:
  • I created a google docs spreadsheet with the item names of all blocks that I could assess 1:1 with a non-nbt using block of version 1.11. I will keep this udpated for future versions:
  • I created code that automatically creates a PHP array with the coordinates of the individual items from the above google sheet.
  • That code also writes a CSS file with classes for all the locations on the original image so that they can be easily integrated in websites.
I have public links and it's all open source, but I cannot add them here since I am a new user.... I am fine if anyone wants to use my code or data, no warranty on correctness of course. It would be great if all the blocks were in that image file, of course without animations is fine. I wonder if it's possible to help adding the blocks and if someone complains if I add the animated blocks as non-animated versions. --Uncovery (talk) 07:20, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for offering your code, but what is it designed to contribute? The image is designed to be used with {{InvSprite}} and {{InvLink}}, {{Slot}} and other templates, and so far, it's been very easy to use and update for accuracy, without the need for numbers along the side. If you refer to those templates you'll see the images are all referred to by name.
The animated ones can't be contained in this still image, so those templates use a fallback gif for those. Still inventory images for them should not be contained here, or else they will be accidentally used, and three will be no animation.
If you look in the InvSprite template, you'll see that all inventory images for mushroom blocks are in fact there: red, brown and stem. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 13:14, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for linking those templates, I was not aware about them. The only advantage about the numbers is to easier identify items on the map when you add new ones etc since you have an excel-like matrix. It's the smallest part anyhow. The advantage I thought comes more from the CSS & excel sheet since it allows you to have one central CSS file with classes for each item instead of adding the background-position coordinates into the page itself. On top of that, the offer was not only for the Wiki here but anyone else who reads this. I am using it to design a web interface for our in-game economy at uncovery.me for example. Anyhow, you probably are working fine with your own system. --Uncovery (talk) 00:03, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for thinking of us! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 01:46, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Update fish[]

Please update the fish textures. The BlobsPaper 00:29, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

If it's the 1.13 textures you're talking about, they're under separate names - Pufferfish (18w08b), Cooked Cod (18w08b), etc. They probably shouldn't be changed until 1.13 as released - as in the current version (1.12.2), they're still the textures that are currently in the InvSprite as the main name.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed TerracottaTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta 00:34, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

About Cactus[]

The cactus texture isn't what it looks like in the newest version (Java 1.14 and Bedrock 1.11). Shouldn't it be updated?MysticNebula70 (talk) 08:43, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

Give it some time, a lot of images are still being updated to the texture update, we can’t do this automatically. FVbico (talk) 09:05, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
It's being updated chronologically to the latest version to avoid confusion (and make me easier to document sprites for each version). – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 09:15, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
