First discovered in Minecraft Infdev 20100327 and removed in beta 1.8 the Far Lands have become one of Minecraft's most well-known glitches. It has been referenced in official media, being a location/chapter in [[Minecraft: Story Mode]], and in the name of Steve's Classic Mode Route in [[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]: "Journey to the Far Lands". So far, only one person has proved that they have legitimately walked to the Far Lands in vanilla Minecraft who goes only by KilloCrazyMan. This person has video footage from many frequent streams of their journey as evidence. Beginning mid 2019 taking only nine months reaching them on the 19th of June 2020. Upon arrival, a 10 000 USD donation from Notch was awarded to him for his efforts.
